So it was recently brought to my attention that not everyone has this gift. I didn't even know it had a name really, but in my composition class our instructor asked us how many of us saw colors in music and to my surprise I was one of only three kids that did. So is it really that rare? Any other musicians out there have this or any other form of synesthesia?

Thanks so much! This is so old I really should update this page lol. Edit: Semi-update. Here's the real recording of No_Name (Inception). Not a great job on it but it beats midi... Inception I've been using finale since 05, updating every year. I really like it although I know there's a pretty hot debate about finale vs. sibelius. I've never used sibelius so i couldnt compare them, but i think both are very good.

Because our school is stupid!!!! Why did my comp prof wait til yesterday to tell me my proposal for the final project wouldn't work? How am I supposed to write a whole new quartet to be performed in a week?!?!

Leander did the Hindemith last year. It was such a fun piece to play, and Hindemith is a genius. Good luck playing it! And Sheherazade was definitely spectacular, although I heard it wasn't as good as rehearsal (which boggles my mind at how good it must have been there ).

You have to do the alto and tenor lines for hw? haha not us. I'm not that great at harmonic dictation but i <3 melodic dictation.

a displaced cambiata is not what i would call brilliant lol. but i did like the way it sounded

Bruce, Clark, Maple...I've had scary-looking cottage cheese at all of them. But Bruce is probably the worst, though their thanksgiving meal was better than Maple's .
