Hmm...this is an interesting topic... From an outside view (seeing as I've never been in ANY kind of relationship) it seems way overrated. I've seen a whole one person that seems to be happy in their relationship, at least in the long run. Those odds make me even less likely to date in high school... Oh, and I DO NOT agree with "friends w/ benifits"...

I tried to get txblive last night, but I never received a confirmation number via text. I tried to start over, but it always brings me up to the second page where it asks for the confirmation number...

Me too. Unfortunately it's 6-8 weeks for delivery. I really want to see Bowie again, and RR, and Akins. And, of course, us.

Had no idea they made plastic double reeds...sounds like trouble. The wood ones are bad enough. Until last week I was playing on a 7 month old reed that made me sound like I was in begining band all over again.

Bassoon...it makes me happy. However, the region music this year doesn't. gross

Bassoon. But I haven't really played in a while...dang marching season. I play T sax too, and i noodle on the piano. I wanna learn bass guitar, and the string bass, and... THE CONTRABASSOON!!!!! (yeah right, a girl can dream) BTW, are we seeing a theme here?

So our directors shot down the rumor today, saying they very much doubt it's gonna happen. I didn't think it was true, and I figured this was the easiest way to get the facts straight. Good luck Bowie and Church Hill and all the other bands doing both!

This is just a rumor, and i REALLY want to get it cleared up before it gets spread around any more. I heard Bowie may not go to state b/c Grand Nationals is the next day . Somehow I doubt it, but somebody who knows for sure clear this up for me.

Round Rock 05...like half their show is a bassoon solo.

I think talent has nothing to do with it. We have kids that don't necissarily have talent, but work their butts off and are very good. On the other hand, we have kids that are super talented, but also super lazy. Dedication, complete dedication, from the majority is what it takes. Once you build that name for yourself, it gets easier to retain it.

I think making a name for yourself helps. Right before I joined our band went through alot of changes and alot of people quit. I almost did too. We've kinda had a rough last 2 years, but we've slowly gotten back into the running for things, and each year more band students from the middle schools wanna be a part of it. Next year I hope we can hit 200, but I'm not sure how realistic that is...

Of course I'm biased to my own, but besides that I wanna say Bowie and RR. At least, those are my favs. Of course, Regans was awesome too.

That's crazy!!! I want 12 double reeds...*tear* Let's see...we have 5 bassoons and 2 1/2 oboes. ( the 1/2 beining a guy that plays flute and oboe...) 6 (5 1/2) of those are fish, and all but 2 are underclassmen.
