I like to think of GE as “the chill factor”. Does the show give me chills watching it. I know it’s nothing like that but usually the band the wins GE was the most exciting and entertaining to me. Don’t count out CTJ just yet. We like to go “extra”

Haha thanks. I feel a little out of my element because I wasn’t in band as a kid so a lot of posts are over my head. Band wasn't very big in OH growing up. But I support 110% now.

As a CTJ parent, I’m obviously biased but from videos I’ve seen on the LISD schools, its going to be an exciting finals! I’m not making predictions because I think it’s going to be close at the top. But that’s what I’m hoping for because it’s so freaking exciting!! I can’t comment on music, sound, etc because I don’t have a musical background but I freakin love marching season!! I’m so proud of my son and I can’t wait to hear and celebrate all of our kids! I just reread this and realize I sound like a doofus and contributed nothing to the conversation. My bad.

And don’t forget..... #wehaveaLipman

They have to tie in the previous show somehow. It’s like saying “why is Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back when he was in Star Wars?” It ties the story together and allows for the story to continue.

CTJ’s preview show is tomorrow night and I’m beyond excited!! I get chills listening to them play at practice and it’s going to be awesome to see the whole show in full uniforms! CTJs never in it to win it, just to make great music but this year is going to be something special! So excited to see all the bands this year! Marching season is here!!!

Can’t wait to see Leander in Austin! I really enjoyed last year’s show.

Oh no!! I believe some are just very passionate and that’s ok too. There are die hard supporters in everything and my man just wears his emotions on his sleeve. It’s all good. But please don’t start with the labels. We’re all in it for our kids.

It’s all good. We’re all fans of our kids programs first and foremost so it’s hard not to play favorites. We are all welcome to our opinion. As a CTJ parent myself, I hope we bring home the Eagle. But I’m happy for any member of #teamtexas if they win. Just makes Texas band look that much better. Let’s all be happy and excited for our kids and not get so defensive.

I’ve been humming “The Circle of Life” all day!

CTJ has confirmed, we are not going to McAllen this year.

CTJ will no longer be attending BOA McAllen this year. We’re saving the money to attend the Midwest Clinic in Dec. I’m all for it!!

Impressive choices from Leander. Can’t wait to hear it on the field!! Haven’t heard the music selections from CTJ yet. But between Grand Nats in Nov and Mid West clinic in Dec, we’re going to be busy!! (and cold!!)

As a fellow CTJ parent, I am looking forward to all bands representing our great state. Can’t wait to show them what Texas band looks and sounds like!! I’m rooting for any Texas band to bring home the eagle!! #TeamTexas
