    I agree with you. I think Highland Park will land in the top 3 this year, knocking out Dripping Springs. I also expect groups like Lebanon Trail, Mcallum and Midlothian to break into the top 12.

    I know that the 5a state marching contest topic is already up, but i wanted to make one specifically for predictions. Does anyone have top 12 predictions or a full prediction list yet? I can't wait to see what everyone thinks!

    Is it a big deal that Midlothian beat Poteet and Forney? Does this make them a state finals contender? And how will Highland Park compare to Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Wakeland, etc...?

    28 bands in this area advanced to area, making the official number of bands advancing to state 5

    The crazy thing is that the top 3 bands in this area will most definitely make State finals Highland Park, Poteet and Forney are all good enough to make finals (possibly even top 8).

    Official Predictions in no order: Cedar Park Dripping Springs Wakeland Rouse Highland Park Poteet Friendswood Forney Aledo Lone Star Groups that could sneak in: Colleyville Heritage, Southwest, The colony Group that will surprise people: Lopez HS (Top 15 this year) Group first time at state/will impress people: Midlothian HS (Top 15 this year)

    I really like what area C is doing this year. Highland park is really good Poteet is really good Midlothian is the best they've ever been Forney is usually alright too I could see at least 3 of these groups making finals this year

    We won't know how many bands advance yet, but I'm assuming its going to be either 4 or 5. My 5 (just in case) 1- Highland Park 2- Poteet 3- Forney 4- Midlothian 5- The colony

    Which bands from Area C will advance to the State marching competition? Does anyone have any predictions?

    I know its early, but does anyone have any predictions yet? I'm very excited for this upcoming 5A state competition since last year's 6A competition was so great
