  1. Phantom Regiment 2006. They got shafted big time. It was better than '96 and '89 in my opinion. That mellophone line and Star's 91 mellophone line are tied in my book for most kickass mello section ever. If you weren't at finals, you don't understand just how magical that performance was. That was my 6th or 7th time to see them, and all the other shows didn't even come close to what they pulled out that night.
  2. If I remember right, the arrangement was in 4/4, so we just marched it normal. Occasionally there'd be like a 5/8 bar, where we'd march a 1-2-3, 1-2 type step. It was confusing for about 5 minutes.
  3. I made tons of unforgettable memories and friends in band, those 4 marching seasons will go down as some of the best times in my life. It changed me for the better.
  4. L.D. Bell, but I've seen it way too many times. SFA at a close 2nd, simply amazing.
  5. You saw it at a football game, it's public, you can say whatever you want. You have no affiliation with them.
  6. Go when you can, it's not a big deal.
  7. Everybody at every high school is in love with the Cavaliers. I only saw the 05 show once, in San Antonio, beyond the right endzone. I couldn't tell you at thing about it, besides the name and some ladders.
  8. "On the field, from Santa Clara, California, presenting their 2007 Program!" That's how.
  9. Oh, I was thinking Bell won Arlington last year for some reason... never mind. And yeah, hopefully there will be a lot of '05 and '06 SFA people there, and we can yell "Be Remembered" like they do every year. They better kick some ****.
  10. They might barely get back into finals. 10th-12th
  11. Yeah... everyone's going to miss them. Sucks for those people, but it's a heck of a lot more convinient for me. I don't understand though, I thought past champions always went last in prelims. That's why I've hardly seen any live marching band shows in the past 3 years.
  12. Because they're fresh, innovative, and push the limits while doing it all immaculately.
  13. There's a big difference between "They sucked" and "I didn't like them".
  14. Who was the best middle school band director in the state, and how did he achieve such a prestigious title?
  15. Or the opposite could happen. The kids who were going to march revolution because it was close to home, will now try out for the Crossmen instead, thus drawing away Revolution members. (Several membes of Revolution went to Crossmen in 2004 when the corps went inactive and I'm sure they've told their Revo friends about the experience). The texas kids trying out for Crossmen are doing so because there's finally a high caliber div 1 corps in the state, and they want a shot at it, I doubt they'll fall back on a corps like Revolution.
  16. Hey, don't worry about it. Our directors are very... not creative in coming up with show names. (just look at the past 3 years) Our shows have never really had a theme or story or anything either.
  17. The Stephen F. Austin High School Marching Band presents: The Fire Within including Piano Concerto No. 2 by Shostakovich Transfigured Night by Schoenberg Symphony No. 10 by Shostakovich
  18. I was at that game. You guys suprised me a little bit, I had never heard of Martin before. Not bad at all. And from the endzone you probably couldn't hear all the synth/electronic stuff... it adds a heck of a lot to Bell's show.
  19. I don't remember the cheers for madison scouts being exceptionally loud... Maybe I just forgot.
  20. Should have done this 3 years ago.
