CCisd Band Parent

It seems to be that their music is very similar but their drill is different, Uil only requires students to learn new drill in this case. So technically they're following the rules.

Rumor is that The Woodlands is only doing Area Prelims (similar to what CTJ did in 2016) because of nats. Oak Ridge for the win???

If you look on Texas Music Forms, Townview Center is under the 6A contest tab when their classification is 3A, this means that there definitely be max 5 bands to state.

There are only 8 6A bands registered for region 20, 9 bands at the contest, one of them randomly being 3A

LeanderMomma and I were talking about this we were so worried but so glad that it wasn’t true, I’m sure someone got the words penalty and disqualified mixed up, it’s very very very rare for a band to get completely written off. Everything’s ok though because we get to see them again tonight:)

There have been some major changes in this area recently, Clements and Brazoswood haven’t done area since 2018 and honestly I have no idea where they will end up, if they take 5 to state we may see Clear Falls slip into state.

Yea congrats to them, excited to see Clear Brook here since they swept at Friendswood. Also kudos to College Park for getting back in there!!

I get it but it’s like if you played a piece at Uil one year and then the next year you played that same piece but changed the other two, there are rules against that, I don’t understand why marching band would be any different, especially if they’re like that for drill. It’s kind of a “goes without saying” thing I guess.

They played all, or at least some of their 2020 show again, I’m confused why this is allowed.

Ok, that makes more sense, I do not know how judges will take it.

“7 Bridgeland” The Visual and Music scores are there, the show is very confusing when it comes to design.

I find this sooooooo funny now.

I definitely see Dawson and Bridgeland being in the Top 10. Oak Ridge and Coppell I see being around 12-13th Place.

Definitely one of my favorite non-finals band.

Dawson High School's 2020 show is entitled Acceleration Z and features music from Pictures at an Exhibition. Very cool show concept!!
