  1. from what I remember, at least in 4A area b, they announced the bands advancing to state only, in alphabetical order, until 2018 where they switched to announcing the full results. I know most areas, through 2014 at least, would announce the state bands in random order to not give away the results.
  2. Would love to see Kaufman advance this year! I feel that both them and West Mesquite are coming into this season with a vengeance
  3. I'm just hoping 8 bands can advance to state this year. Last year was definitely full of surprises!

  5. 2A Divison 1: Ganado 30 - Stamford 28 Please help me congratulating the Ganado HS Indians out of Ganado, TX on winning their 1st State Title in their first ever state apperance!!! Gando HS went 15-1 and beat some notable opponents over the course of the season including Tidehaven in regular season, and beating Marlin and Joaquin in the playoffs to clinch their first ticket to the State championship! This also marks the first time that Ganado HS has had multiple programs place in the top 3 in the state championships as their Band placed 2nd at the marching championships! Congratulations to Ganado HS on an incredible season!
  6. 1A Divison 2: Jayton 54 - Oakwood 8 Please help me in congratulating the Jayton HS Jaybirds out of Jayton, TX on winning their 3rd State title! Jayton HS last appeared at the state championship back in 2006! Jayton clinched their ticket to state beating some notable opponents over the course of the season on the road to a perfect 15-0 season by beating schools such as Westbrook in regular season, and reigning state champion from 2023 Benjamin HS by 50 points in the playoffs. Congratulations again to Jayton HS on an incredible season!
  7. 1A Divison 1: Gordon 70 - Whiteface 24 Please help me in congratulating the Gordon HS Longhorns out of Gordon, TX on winning their 4th State title in their 4th state apperance! They complete a perfect season going 15-0. They got to state beating some notable opponents including Jonesboro and Abbott to clinch a ticket to the state championship. They were the first team of the 2024 season to successfully defend their state title! Fun fact, this is the first time in school history that Gordon HS has been a back-to-back state champion in football! Congratulations again to Gordon HS on an incredible season!

  13. Have to say, I love it when other programs come and support their school's marching band! Brackett HS, who is a first time state qualifier, had their entire football program there to cheer them on this morning!
  14. Next week will be my first time seeing their show. I'm excited to see them return to the State level once again! I do feel that they have a very good chance of advancing to Finals
  15. Shoutout to Orange Grove HS! 36 years since they advanced to state and they make it into finals! Also really happy for Hitchcock and Raymondville! This will be an exciting finals contest!
  16. Huge congratulations to Irion County HS on their 3rd state title! Really enjoyed their show this year! Also congratulations to Cross Plains HS who has received their highest placement at State! Congratulations to all 1A schools this season and I can't wait to see what is in store next year!

  19. I really enjoyed every performance this morning, but now it's time to show my personal rankings of the 15 bands in 1A that advanced to state. Please note that this is a personal rankings and that I could see anyone make finals- Menard Irion County Cross Plains Knox City Claude Hamlin O'Donnell Water Valley Runge Leakey Eden Petersburg Nueces Canyon Santa Anna D'Hanis The three schools folded are the ones i could see fighting for the final spot in finals.

  22. Good morning all! Today is going to be a spectacular day full of performances from the top 12 5A bands in the state of Texas! This year is full of history and it will only get better from here. Best of luck to all who are competing today and make sure to have the best performances of the season!
  23. Getting Wakeland, Friendswood, and Leander back-to-back-to-back was really epic! 3 potential finalists who all gave amazing performances! I REALLY liked wakelands show, I could legit see it possibly take 2nd place. Friendswood show was really interesting and I really enjoyed the music. Leander show was just a fun show to watch/listen to. I can't wait to see more amazing shows!
