  10. its the calm before the storm. I wanted to take a moment and say I really enjoyed each performance today! I am really excited to see what is in store this season and what more bands are going to be bringing to the table. I will be at the Melissa Marching Showcase next week where I'll get to see some notable bands such as Lone Star, Argyle, Lebanon Trail, McKinney, Lakeview Centennial, Rock Hill, Celina, and more. Thanks again for all the amazing performances tonight from all our finalists!
  11. Gatesville- I didn't want to forget about our Class A Champion! I am really excited to see how this group does this season! They have really grown over the last few years and this year they sound amazing! I have them as a dark horse to make State Finals this year in 4A! Congratulations Gatesville on a great start to the season and best of luck on the rest of the season!
  12. Rouse- All I can say is wow! The balance from the entire band is truly remarkable! I really love the music and the visuals are also on another level. I can't wait to see what Rouse has in store this season, because it could be possible they could get the 5A State title if they keep up the amazing work! Congratulations to Rouse HS on advancing to finals!
  13. Vandegrift- The visuals are spectacular! So much fun to watch and the music being played makes this show even more exciting to watch. They are executing notes very well and have amazing technique! I really love the musical choices and am really interested to see if they can keep ahold of the 6A State Title! Congratulations to Vandegrift HS on advancing to finals!
  14. Cedar Ridge- I was truly blown away by the power from their opening statement. Their second movement music sounds really good and I love the balance the woodwinds and percussion had with the trombones. The use of Wrecking Ball in their show is unique since I don't think I have seen a band use it. Cedar Ridge is coming back with a vengeance this year and I am ready to see what they have in store. Congratulations to Cedar Ridge on advancing to finals!

  16. Vista Ridge- The musical power coming from Vista Ridge is amazing to see! They sound amazing this year and are truly going to be a band you have to watch throughout this season! Congratulations on making finals Vista Ridge!!
  17. Westlake- Their show is my favorite show by far this season! So emotional, played so well and that opener and 3rd movement were just so amazing! I am really looking forward to seeing how they do this season! Congratulations to Westlake HS on making finals!
  18. I agree with you 100%. Cedar Park is going after Argyle's record.
  19. Cedar Park- The opening visuals looked really cool! Their sound is already on another level and we aren't even into October yet! Another thing I like about their show is their use of the field. The visuals look AMAZINIG! The trombone solo was played beautifully! Overall, I am really excited to see how well Cedar Park does this year, especially since they are making the trip out to Grand Nationals! Congratulations on making finals Cedar Park and best of luck the rest of the season!
  20. what I really like about this contest is its my one chance to see these schools until State. Especially this season since I'll be going to none BOA/USBands contests and will be at Area J in November.
  21. Lake Travis- They sound AMAZING! Loved how powerful the band is throughout the show! Their visuals are really fun to watch and I can't wait to see what they have in store once the show is fully complete. The final part they closed with sounded wonderful!!! Congratulations on making finals Lake Travis!!
  22. I found a video that includes both Lovejoy and Anna's performance. The halftime performance for Lovejoy starts at 2:18:33 since they played an ad around the time that they begin the performance. Anna is around 2:30:09.
  23. Klein Cain- Its been really fun seeing how much Cain HS has grown as a band! The show was really fun to watch and I really liked that opening part with the Dracula castle music. I also really enjoyed the brass feature that happened just before the ending of the show. I can't wait to see how well this show does throughout the rest of the season! Congratulations to Klein Cain on making finals!
  24. Leander- Alright, Leander coming out here with a really groovy kind of show! That opener has become one of my favorites for the year so far. The music is really fun and the visuals are really fascinating to watch. If I'm being honest with everyone, it feels like I'm watching The Bluecoats from 2019-2023. This show is going to be very fun to watch throughout the season. And this is just another example of why Leander HS is one of my favorite bands to watch each season. Congratulations to Leander HS on making it into Finals!!
  25. I believe this show could get them into Area D finals.
