  1. If they send 5 bands to State, this will be a great year!
  2. I had the chance to watch Frisco HS, I have to say I like the pre-show. It gives off an "enchanted" style and I definitely will keep an eye on the show.
  3. I know 😆. I'll have to wait until Area J before I can see them lol
  4. Is there a video of Hebron out there? I can't wait to see how they do!
  5. Ah I got you. I'm excited to see how they do and hope they can make a return to State! They were one of my favorites to go up against back in 2016
  6. Kaufman did go up to 5A. Glad to hear they are doing well!
  7. So after having a chance to watch Melissa's performance from yesterday, I could see them having a chance to fall within the 7th (highest)-13th (lowest) range for Area. They are performing well with this being their second week!
  8. I had a chance to watch Melissa HS perform part one of their show from their game against Parkview. I will say they are playing very loud this year. Here is a link to the video (skip to 2:06:41 to watch the performance): This week, Melissa faced Frisco, which was live streamed as well! (Skip to 1:26:39 for the performace of Melissa)
  9. Based off the Regional draw Order on the official website for Region 3, Lakeview Centennial will be in conference 5A. https://www.uilregion3music.org/band Click on the Region Draw Order and you should be able to see which conference they are under
  10. Sherman HS finally beat Denison for the first time in 11 years in Battle of the Axe! The final score was 31- 13
  11. Hey everyone, today, Melissa HS will be facing off against Little Rock Parkview HS! If anyone is going to the game, please let us know how it goes! Edit: meant to say Parkview not Plainview
  12. can't wait to see their full production!
  13. This is the revised draw order for Area B. 48 bands total have drawn for this contest meaning that if all bands were to receive a 1st divison at region and made the intent to advance to Area, then the maximum number of bands that could be sent to state is 9 bands. But based on the possibility that some bands may receive a 2nd divison or lower, the range we are looking at for this area for the number of bands to advance to state is 6-7 bands with a chance that maybe even 8 bands could advance. Best of luck to all these amazing bands as they begin the journey to state! 4A Area B Draw Order (Revised on 8/21/24): Brownwood HS (7) Pinkston HS (20) La Vega HS (8) Decatur HS (2) Robinson HS (8) Graham HS (7) Gatesville HS (8) Lincoln HS (20) Connally HS (8) Bridgeport HS (2) Glen Rose HS (30) Aubrey HS (2) Burkburnett HS (7) Kimball HS (20) Diamond Hill-Jarvis HS (30) Castleberry HS (30) Western Hills HS (30) Stephenville HS (7) Springtown HS (30) Southwest HS (30) Venus HS (30) China Spring HS (8) Godley HS (30) Life School Waxahachie (20) Conrad HS (20) Eagle Mountain HS (30) Gainesville HS (2) North Dallas HS (20) Lake Worth HS (30) Lorena HS (8) Eastern Hills HS (30) Roosevelt HS (20) Sanger HS (2) Ranchview HS (31) Mineral Wells HS (7) Ferris HS (20) Panther Creek HS (24) Lake Dallas HS (2) Carter-Riverside HS (30) Dunbar HS (30) Alvarado HS (30) Krum HS (2) Hutchins HS (20) Kennedale HS (30) Carter HS (20) Hillsboro HS (8) Benbrook HS/MS (30) Brock HS (30)
  14. I could see Random Guy from off the street being the underdog in this one!
  15. This is the draw Order of Area B, and it is showing a completely different story of the alignment compared to the Alignment made on the website- Aubrey (2) Decatur (2) Lake Dallas (2) Ferris (20) Carter-Riverside (30) Stephenville (7) Southwest (30) Salado (8) Sanger (2) Panther Creek (24) Ranchview (31) Roosevelt (20) Dunbar (30) Conrad (20) North Dallas (20) Carter (20) Diamond Hill-Jarvis (30) Life School Waxahachie (20) Eastern Hills (30) Jarrell (8) Madisonville (8) Krum (2) Pinkston (20) Graham (7) Smith (20) Gainesville (2) Hutchins (20) Mineral Wells (7) Lincoln (20) Burkburnett (7) Bridgeport (2) Brownwood (7) Kimball (20) Benbrook (30) Western Hills (30) This means that we will be seeing some new faces to the state marching contest who haven't been before or in a long time!
  16. So it seems as of right now, some Region 30 bands has moved back to Area D. It's not showing that in the alignments, but it's showing only a few bands, mainly the Fort Worth bands, are in this Area and that everyone else may have moved back to Area D

  18. This season was truly amazing! Congratulations to The Bluecoats who take their second Gold Medal back to Canton, OH! This was by far one of the best seasons we have had and makes me so excited to see what is going to happen in the future! Overall, The Bluecoats, The Troopers, Boston, and Phantom had the best shows of the season! Congratulations to all who competed in DCI this season!
  19. Here are all the bands that are apart of 3A Area D- Region 5 (0 Bands) Region 8 (19): Academy HS Anderson-Shiro HS Blooming Grove HS Buffalo HS C.H. Yoe HS Clifton HS Elkhart HS Fairfield HS Franklin HS Groesbeck HS McGregor HS Mexia HS Rice HS Rogers HS Teague HS Troy HS West HS Westwood HS (Moved from Area C ) Whitney HS Region 13 (Moved from Area E) (10): Brazos HS Boling HS East Bernard HS Edna HS Hitchcock HS Industrial HS Palacios HS Rice HS (Altair) Tidehaven HS Van Vleck HS Region 18 (2) Columbus HS (Moved from Region 26) Hallettsville HS (Moved from Region 26) Region 23 (0 Bands) Region 26 (3): Lexington HS Rockdale HS Thrall HS (Moved up from 2A) Region 27 (1): Hempstead HS Region 29 (3): Blanco HS Comfort HS Moore HS (Ingram) Region 32 (2): Llano HS Florence HS This area changed quite a bit with the addition of Region 13 and the removal of Region 30. Westwood HS who was originally apart of Area C has also moved into this area, so it will be interesting to see how they favor. Thrall HS has moved up from 2A, so it will be cool to see how they do against all these 3A schools! With region 13 being added, we get to see 2 schools who advanced to state last year from Area E in this area, so it will be interesting to see how they do in this Area! In total, there is 40 bands, so we could see more bands advance from this area then from years before! We will most likely see 5 or 6 bands advance to state from this area.
  20. It could work for most conferences, but 1A and some 2A's don't have an auxiliary group. I think the mid stands would work best for an auxiliary judge.
  21. Hey everyone, since an Area C topic was made for this conference, I thought I would also make one for the remaining ones, so this is Area B for conference 3A! Below you can see the bands that are apart of this area- Region 2 (7): Bowie HS Boyd HS Callisburg HS Paradise HS Pilot Point HS Ponder HS Valley View HS Region 7 (12): Breckenridge HS City View HS Comanche HS Dublin HS Early HS Eastland HS Henrietta HS Holliday HS Iowa Park HS Jacksboro HS Millsap HS (Switched from Region 30) Vernon HS Region 20 (1 NV): Madison HS (Non-Varsity) Region 24 (0 Bands) Region 25 (8): Bells HS Blue Ridge HS Gunter HS Howe HS Leonard HS Pottsboro HS S&S Consolidated HS Whitesboro HS Region 30 (Moved from Area D to Area B ) (4): Grandview HS Maypearl HS Peaster HS Tolar HS (Moved up from 2A) Region 31 (0 Bands) This area has seen quite a change. Region 3 was moved to Area C and Region 30 has moved to this area! In total, there area 31 bands, but based on the past, there will most likely be 4 bands that advance to state from this area, but could have a chance to send a fifth band. Should be interesting to see how Grandview does in this area and to also see how Tolar HS does being a new 3A band.
  22. This is the draw order (In order of when they would perform) for this area- Hebron HS McKinney Boyd HS Rock Hill HS V.R. Eaton HS Marcus HS Lewisville HS Wylie East HS Wylie HS Byron Nelson HS Little Elm HS Northwest HS Plano East Sr. HS Braswell HS Allen HS Princeton HS Flower Mound HS Denton Guyer HS Plano Sr. HS Prosper HS McKinney HS Plano West Sr. HS The contest would open strong with performances from Hebron, McKinney Boyd, and Rock Hill!
  23. McKinney ISD stadium is the official stadium for this contest! The UIL website was updated this morning
  24. World Class: 1st: 94.425- The Bluecoats 2nd: 93.875- Boston Crusaders 3rd: 93.325- The Blue Devils 4th: 91.65- Phantom Regiment 5th: 91.575- Carolina Crown 6th: 89.475- Santa Clara Vanguard 7th: 88.15- Mandarins 8th: 86.725- Blue Stars 9th: 85.85- Colts 10th: 81.725- Crossmen 11th: 80.80- Spirit of Atlanta 12th: 78.45- The Academy 13th: 73.75- Genesis All Age Class: 82.775: Atlanta CV Looking at these scores, it really shows that first place is not a lock. It also seems that Boston is starting to close in on The Bluecoats, which could make these final 2 weeks one of the best finals weeks in DCI!
  25. Every Drum Corps brought it tonight in Atlanta! I really enjoyed each performance! Bluecoats, Boston, and Phantom were my favorites tonight, followed by Mandarians and The Blue Devils.
