Is Having A Girlfriend/Boyfriend Overrated?
lionbc replied to Aegis Fang's topic in General Off-Topic
I'm quoting an old post to ask a question...who were you talking about? And it makes me cringe to think of friends with benefits because thinking of me doing anything with any of my guy friends makes me want to gag... --- I don't think a high school relationship is overrated, atleast for me. See, my boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years (will be on Jan 26), but we made sure we were friends first and we both know that if anything happens we will still be good friends. Yes, it is possible to have a guy friend-and just a guy friend-I've had one since 7th grade(who is not my boyfriend...Anna/Nancy knows who I'm talking about). So, as long as both members of the party are mature about things it's fine. It's when you get the kids whose parents were too embarassed to tell them about the birds and the bees, who missed those health/sex-ed days, idolize mtv, etc. that there becomes a problem. Moral of the story, Be Mature -
Amen, I was watching the news with my fingers crossed saying, "Please just one more day...or two...or a week...a year maybe?"

But I bet it was twinkle twinkle little star at 578, right! Because that's just how hardcore you are. (wow...this post is late...)
-
Oh my word...how can you guys not play that song?!?!?! That's inhumane! As for the trumpets, gotta love 'em (I don't really get to see ours because the drumline is behind the basses-my section-and infront of the trumpets...)
-
so that's the key to doing well... note to self...put human sacrifice in show next year and we will pwn...

We have wooden beams holding up two of our trees in the front yard because they lean over already, but the added weight of the ice made them fall even lower, and we didn't want to risk one of them falling on our house and the other falling on our truck. Speaking of which, our truck slid down our driveway (and it's not that steep).

What was your song for Erin and Jenni called? Didn't it have a kinda funny name? Oh, and "Tie Your Mother Down", I think by Queen, is a little creepy...
-
I'm playing a bass clarinet solo called Deepwood. I actually like how the song goes, but I just can't get over the name...

You know what, I'm gonna mess up the flow of things here and go back to what was being talked about earlier. Funny games. Well, every band plays hey baby right? Well, one of the first games this season I got up and went over to one of our saxophone or clarinets (I've done this so many times I forget who was first, it hasn't been as funny since that first time) and got down on my knee like I was proposing to her and sang hey baby. She was a little embarassed, but thought it was hilarious, as did some of the people around her. That's my little thing now, I "propose" to people during Hey Baby. Speaking of which, do you guys have anything you do during hey baby (like when you're singing, if you guys even do the singing part...)

That's pretty friggin sweet. Here's one that's not as difficult, but cool none the less:

a countdown = DOOM

People buying Wii's just to sell them on ebay when we want them to actually play them.

I like to think of the neck strap tan as something similar to a battle scar. If you're busting your butt for 12 hours of the day (that's what we did this past summer), I think you deserve to be able to call it a battle scar.

In the second band there are: 4 bassoons(one had been a bass drum, 2 tenor saxes, and one alto) 3 bass clarinets 1 bari sax 1 tenor sax 2 alto saxes 4 clarinets 1 oboe 1 pic 4(I think) flutes Like she said, it will change next semester. Some people from her band will move to mine and some of ours will move up to hers.

And I *heart* contrabass clarinet! Thing is, I've already got to play one...
-
Most of the instruments on there are real. The Octocontrabass clarinet has only one in existance, but it's real, the big saxes aren't really playable. If you read the information pages it will tell you about the origin of the instrument and stuff like that.

Which of the clarinet-things? The contrabass? That's exactly why I love the instrument. Did you listen to the clip?
