But don't you see? That's the COOL part about marching band. The whole band thing is like one big bubble and people in the bubble have no idea what goes on, or what it's like. I don't want your boss to know what it's like to be in marching band! This is what makes what we do so unique. Nobody really knows. And I enjoy that part of it.

I feel bad for you. BOA is so great. It is geared towards the kids, and nothing else. And it goes way beyond just the UIL show, it is entertaining, exciting, and the judging is more accurate.

I hear that Westlake has a good show this year. Are they capable to win it all tonight? Who is the favorite to win? My current band director was a band director at Westlake last year. It will be interesting to see them.

Yeah they were okay last year but we should all expect them to explode this year and in the recent future. They were "on the rise" last year and are now ready to be taken seriously.

I hear a lot of you guys saying that Wylie surprised you this weekend. Well, when you consider the fact that Todd Dixon is now in charge of their marching band, it should not be surprising. He deserves a lot of credit for bringing a school, who, last year, didn't even have one player make the all region band, to a band winning a contest with some solid bands. I was not at this contest, but hearing you guys saying how Wylie sounded good does not surprise me. He is nothing short of a musical genius.

Yeah...I thought that was clear. Your band director didn't mess up. He was serious. It makes me sick to think how close we were. Eh, oh well I guess.

From one Mansfield band (Summit) to another (Timberview), I have nothing but positive things to say about Timberview. I rooted for you guys since the beginning. You get better each and every year, and you guys are extremely good marchers. I really like Timberview a lot, and I think they can do some damage in Area B in a few years.

Guys. I understand that there are music and marching judges. Like I said, the music judges gave us 4, 10, and 4. The marching gave us 4 and 9. Doesn't make sense. In prelims, one judge gave us first place in marching.

I don't mean to be bitter, and I don't normally like complaining, but I think we (Summit) were better than Richland and Haltom. Just because they have the name and have been in this area forever doesn't mean they're better than us. This was our first year at Area B. I don't get it. It doesn't make sense that 3 judges think that we were 4th, and then the other two think we are 9th and 10th. The music judges gave us 4, 10, and 4. The Marching judges gave us 4 and 9. BUT It is what it is, we don't have any control over any of that, but it was fun. I just don't like losing, and nobody should. Is our best performance ever really just a 6th place performance? The answer is no. So yeah, it sucks, but we must accept it, and move on.
