hi everyone! wow, I haven't been here in almost a full year, and haven't been active here in over a year. just dropped by accidentally - using firefox (typing letters brings up bookmarked sites) anywho. just sayin' hello as a txbands alum. i'm about to start my second yr of college this august. go Rice! i've taken this summer (been off since april) to get my music fix - play through some concertos and stuff. weber's 2nd,mozart k622.,rhapsody in blue....heh. where's everyone going to school next fall?

well, UT's undergrad population outnumbers Rice 50-3. but even then, yall's victory was a complete fluke. haha Rice is awesome. it's the smartest party school on the face of the earth. you really underestimate the stuff that goes on here...haha !!! UNT !!! borchnork you should have emailed me. i would have come by. for the SMU game, i went over to the SMU side to see a friend, and it was pretty fun to be the only one standing up and clapping for a Rice TD....haha anywho, i guess i haven't been on the forums in a while. i'll be more active - maybe twice a week to log in

ahaha, i've not had the luxury of free time. these few weeks have been midterms and papers. consequently, i haven't touched my trumpet since week after Ike hit. soon as things settle down, i'll try to find time for my musical interests and work some clarinet, trumpet, & piano

hey guys! It's been quite a while since I've posted here. anyway, I've decided to pick up trumpet in my spare time, and would like a set of random beginner tips. buzzing is a big issue. trumpet ombisure is weird, especially after 8 years of clarinet.

it's nice that we took it to their homecourt. after all, one of those 4 home losses in the regular season was from Houston.

those are decent odds. Lakers and Hornets have a good chance. Too bad you didn't get to pick Boston along with LA...haha THOSE would be amazing odds.

T-Mac needs to pick up his game. Without Yao, the entire scoring load is all on him. If he would just turn young again, into that old scoring champ, we'd be in great shape. we have point guards to do the passing, T-Mac needs to focus on taking it to the basket.
