Wakeland about to get that caption on.

It’s not just that. Their drill has been very dirty and the balance a little off. They are still top tier. Just not elite this year. No knock. Different kids every year!

It’s 830 am and Timber Creek and Birdville made it look like it was 830 pm! What great runs. - TC looked like they were still mad over the judging in the UIL final- wow - music was crisp and the drill was dead on. Good for them!

ill take this list and say that three of these bands will not make finals --- the shocks of UIL will continue!

It was great. It’s top 6-7 in the nation great. I just wasn’t drawn into it at any point. I never said - wow. That’s special. You were just left with a feeling of - that’s Vandy. They did what they do.

You Nailed it. Absolutely nailed it. Did feel bad for the girl that went down and tripped a few others.

Vandy- been waiting the whole season to see what’s what. It’s good. It’s technically dynamic. But I have to tell you - I didn’t love it. The confidence they march with - you can feel it. It will be very interesting to see how this clear finalist band ends up. Nice job Vandy.

There are 8-9 locks. Abd about 10-15 schools you wouldn’t be surprised by. And here’s my prediction - At least one school will get in that we will be somewhat surprised by. we will almost certainly be shocked at the schools that didn’t get in. Remember- as it sits right now- 24 of the 34 top ranked bands in the US are here - and at least 9 nationally ranked bands are NOT going to finals. wow. WHAT A GAUNTLET!!

Loudest they have been. The mic really accentuated the soloists. Better dynamic balance than I’ve seen. Cleanest run they’ve had especially in that difficult closer

I think it’s also easier to compare bands when they are closer together. More consistency in judging.

Dickinson with an Under the sea vibe - nice sound. Great colors. Not as loud as CTJ but a beautiful program nonetheless. Nice drill shapes Loved the Jaws reference ! Incredible program ! Super creative!
