It's about time that these predictions started. 1. Cedar Park (Seriously what they do in finals every year is a trademark of Cedar Park, and they aren't likely to end that streak anytime soon) 2. Rouse (Amazing sounds from what I've seen and always striving for excellence) 3. Wakeland (0.05 points behind Marcus (the king of clean) at BOA Prosper is amazing for them and although not a huge fan of their show, I cannot deny how clean they are all around) 4. Leander (Love the Latin aspects, seems like they weren't happy with their scores last year and it shows... looking forward to seeing them) 5. Aledo (Nothing else to say besides this program is changing for the better. Almost a seamless show and chock full of general effect throughout) 6. Lone Star (Could see them taking Aledo for 5th, insane music book and love the quality of sound they bring on the field) 7. Hendrickson (It was very good when I saw it at BOA Waco, can see them doing very well in about 2 weeks to come) 8. Colleyville Heritage (So proud of them for how they've done this year, and it is hard to see them losing to the other bands in Area F that they have already beaten this season) 9-12. (Still unclear on how I should rank these, but I see Burleson Centennial, Friendswood, Roma, and Richland being somewhere in this range) Feel free to ask me about my rankings and discuss on your opinions, would love to hear feedback on this!

After BOA Waco last night, I feel that Area will be Aledo's to lose. They did fantastic and I feel as though they have potential for top 5 at state this year. -

But we shouldn’t have to imply what to fix simply based on general effect comments. His job was to specifically target how clean our visuals were and he did not do that. -

Totally get that. However, my band listened back to a visual ensemble judge tape last week from our finals run and he did not mention any execution flaws in the entire performance. He only talked about general effect and how we can make the show more effective. Although this advice is useful to our band, he offered little to no critique on how to fix forms or how to be cleaner visually as an ensemble. Not trying to complain, but I just wish that he was talking about execution rather than effect since he wasn’t assigned to general effect as a judge. -

As much as I enjoyed wakeland’s show, I don’t feel like it has that exact wow factor that I have seen in years past from them. Aledo is doing something so different from their past years and every thing is there for them to be incredibly successful this season. That being said, even if the third place score from HEB was a fluke I find it very hard to see Aledo OR Wakeland scoring any better than 5th or 6th at this contest. -

Based on Aledo's previous 3-peat at this competition, I find it hard to believe that they will go from 1st place straight to 3rd, possibly second place but it will be up to how well Aledo/Centennial perform throughout the season. -

Early Prediction: 1. Aledo/Burleson Centennial 3. Richland 4. Colleyville Heritage 5. Birdville 6. Azle 7. Midlothian 8. Burleson 9. Fossil Ridge 10. Saginaw 11. Paschal 12. Chisolm Trail Just looking at scores from the past few years and how bands have changed regarding placements and competitiveness; I could see any of the top 3 bands changing positions. Yet, it's still early and hard to tell who will be a heavy hitter this season. I am also excited to see Aledo and Centennial going head-to-head this season and what each band has to offer. Feel free to share any disagreements you may have with my rankings. -
Posted 5 minutes ago Prediction as of now: 1. Marcus (All Captions) 2. Wakeland 3. Coppell 4. Timber Creek 5. Forney 6. Aledo 7. Waxahachie 8. Keller Central 9. Mckinney 10. Haltom 11. James Martin 12. Azle I could see Wakeland and Coppell switching places just based on their scores last year. I could also see Forney and Aledo switching places, although it's unlikely due to Forney moving up to 6A and consequently having a larger band. Very hard to tell without seeing any shows yet as of now.

Keep in mind, that same judge tanked the score for Aledo as well…
