Wylie HS plays Flower Mound this week. Excited for that one!

WOO HOOOO!!!

AND it wasn’t dreadfully hot like usual 🙌🏽. My favorites were Phantom & Bloo. Crusaders guard- I could watch them all day; just phenomenal. I was left wanting more design-wise from Crown, but they sounded great. Sooo good to see SCV back too!

I got to see Coppell & Wylie HS perform at a pre-UIL festival this past March and both ensembles sounded AMAZING.

Area C was: 1. Flower Mound 2. Wylie 3. Marcus

The Wylie band calendar still has WMI listed for Saturday, Oct 5th this year. I’m so bummed it’s the same day as the McKinney Marching Invitational.

Thanks for providing all of the great summaries! I appreciate y’all taking the time to do this today. I’m following along, and hoping I’ll be able to go to WGI Dallas finals tomorrow if my schedule allows 🤞🏽 Btw, I had the opportunity to see Wylie High’s Winterguard preview last month and all 3 of their groups looked fantastic. Their feeder program is looking strong! I hope their varsity guard has a great run this evening.

Also- with Wylie High hosting WMI the same day as the McKinney Marching Invitational (which is surprising to me since these programs love having the other(s) in attendance), that means there will be a new champ at MMI.

I agree, and appreciate your explanation of this. I saw that the UIL approved an increase in visual fundamental time from 10 to 15 hours for 2024. This still seems so restrictive!
