I know this site was having issues yesterday, but does anyone have commentary on the Finals bands from last night? Hoping someone saved their thoughts in their notes app or something

For all the talk about Area C being a competitive “bloodbath” -which I completely agree with btw- finals last night felt like such a celebration of all 12 bands. Standing ovations for each program; claps & cheers for soloists & musical/visual impact moments…so much love & support for those kids across the board. And Prosper going last with their all-in Texas extravaganza…the crowd singing & clap-clap-clapping along to ‘Deep in the Heart of Texas’ during their pre-show…was the cherry on top. SO fun & an unforgettable night of phenomenal high school marching bands.

Does anyone know if they clear the stadium after the prelim results/finalists are announced?

I was there on Saturday at region & watched it all go down. One of your staff members caught my eye towards the end of your run. He seemed stressed & it made me wonder what was going on because nothing was obviously wrong on the field. (You guys were performing beautifully.) I happened to glance up at the timer and saw it go to double zeros as the show was finishing. My heart sank for you all. Thanks for the update; I’ve been wondering where things are at in the appeal process & wish you all the best!

Here’s the schedule as of Oct 11th. It still lists Azle & Plano East, however they both could have dropped within the last 5 days.

Wylie High had a KILLER run at Region yesterday. Prosper & Rock Hill tend to do better at BOA comps. Boyd & Wylie High tend to do better at UIL comps. Wylie East hasn’t fared as well as last year. It will be interesting to see the 4th-6th placements shake out at Area!
