(I think this group will be in 5A Area E/Region 13) Presents: "Chapter One" Director: Kenneth Cox from Fulshear HS AND their arrange is Vince Oliver (arranger for the Mandarins) With this design team, they will likely take off in their first year and have a chance of making it to state. Cypress Ranch had the same thing too, but I wasn’t completely sure if it was going to be this or Lonestar Preview. Either way I love to see more CFISD at Katy Marching Festival -

here are some of the bands that are attending from their calender: (this can change) Katy H.S Mayde Creek H.S James E. Taylor H.S Cinco Ranch H.S Morton Ranch H.S Seven Lakes H.S Obra D. Tompkins H.S Patricia E. Paetow H.S Jordan H.S Freeman H.S Jersey Village H.S Westside H.S Memorial H.S Cypress Springs H.S Cypress Ranch H.S This contest doesn’t seem as competitive as it was in the 2019-2021 era, mainly because Lonestar Preview is on the same day. -

I can answer this question 🙋♂️ This won’t impact the Katy bands as much, since they have a bit of an “advantage”. they’re already familiar with how Legacy sounds during stadium rehearsals or football games. The main difference between Legacy and the Berry Center is that the field at Legacy Stadium is kind of underground, while the field at the Berry Center is on ground level. There’s also a giant brick building next to the Berry Center that makes the band seem “louder” because it blocks some of the sound.

ANOTHER QUESTION, Are we getting 6 states spots/12 finalists??!? there around 31 bands in this area so we can’t afford to lose one band ik it like a very low chance, but it possible

I’m curious to see how Foster will perform in the 2025 season. In the 5A world, they had been crushing it for years — until they moved up to 6A.

with "limited information available" 1. Hebro 2. BridgeLAND 3. Cypress 4. Avon 5. Broken Arrow 6. BOA sheldon also happy early april fools, ok ok just joking around um.... 1. Bridgeland 2. Cy Woods 3. Cy Fair 4. Seven Lakes 5-10 is almost impossible to predict. I think Cinco, Jordan, and JET are possible for that 5th spot, but in area I anything is POSSIBLE.

MAD WORLD!!!!! Epic show reveal can’t wait to see this in person! Finals spots are looking pretty tight. 🤩🤩🏙️

so EXCITED!!!!

In my mind 100% Paetow! They’ve been steadily climbing the ranks, moving from 16th in 2022 to 13th in 2023 and 2024. I’m betting on Cypress Ranch to make it to finals. Fingers crossed that this year we can get 12 finalist and 6 state spots. 🤞 I agree (no disrespect intended.)

I’d say it’s nearly impossible to predict that last 5th spot, but I see where you’re coming from! JET made it to state twice in this area, in 2018 and 2022, and the same applies to Tompkins in 2020 and 2023. Cinco would have qualified for state in 2021 and 2024 if there had been more than 25 bands. After what happened last year, I believe all the bands in this area will step up their shows to achieve their maximum outcome.

ruben_f replied to LeanderMomma's topic in Non-UIL: Upcoming Contests, Events, and Festivals
The schedule usually comes out sometime in September, and the list of bands typically comes out in the summer, but you can see some of the bands attending on HornRank https://hornrank.proboards.com/thread/1539/regional-shenandoah-tx-sept-2025 AS OF 01/20/2025 Attending*: Cypress Ranch H.S., TX Dawson H.S., TX Friendswood H.S., TX North Shore H.S., TX Shadow Creek H.S., TX -
In 2024, Brian Stevens was appointed as the new Assistant director at Cinco. He was previously with the Stephen F. Austin High School Band in Sugar Land, TX, from 1999 to 2012. (Source: Cinco Ranch Band Website) During Stevens' time at SFA "the marching band was a consistent Bands of America (BOA) Regional and Super Regional finalist, winning six Regional Championships. They also attended the BOA Grand National Championships in Indianapolis in 2002, 2004, 2007, and 2010, making the Finals each time. The band program has made appearances at the Texas UIL State Marching Band Championships," (Also, Cinco Ranch Band Website)
