This is the 2nd highest finals score in BOA super regional history after last year’s 97.30 by Vandegrift, Flower Mound is sooo elite! I remember seeing them in person at BOA Bedford and immediately was stunned by their general effect and visual mastery, so impressive to see them win those captions here at BOA SA

And to think I got to see the top 3 perform in person😍😍 Magnificent job by Lewisville ISD bands!!

I remember at BOA Bedford finals there was a couple that was trying to find a seat during the beginning of Aledo’s performance and people were tryna get them to just sit on the steps and wait till the end of the performance and the man in the couple was coming across as combative and people started fussing, it was very uncomfortable …

These big tournaments bring out the best and worst of people because the stakes are the highest and people want to feel relevant

I don’t know the exact scoring format yet but I’d guess the judging criteria must be most similar to BOA since they use the GE caption and these scores imo are appropriate for this time in the season for these groups

They did not do a retreat due to lateness of the hour (thank goodness 😭) announcer announced scores over PA

the way FloMo can maintain integrity of their forms even while leaping by several steps at fast speeds! Such a clean performance from them all around

Btw Hebron’s performance was definitely cleaner than when I saw them last in duncanville. I do think a combination of my seating position there and the stadium acoustics made it sound louder/ more intense. I think Sometimes the impression I get from a band’s sound changes depending on these factors

Ohhh Marcus hs is truly a blessing to witness in person! Nothing short of an inspirational performance from them
