I will definitely be going. I’m sure I won’t have classes interfering with the start time lol. It’ll be nice to see strong competition in the local area

My hypothesis is that because there are so many characteristics to consider when judging a performance, different judges will pick up on different things, leading to a shift in the scores and placements. I also think that in prelims, judges place performances based on their first impression of it, then do a more in depth comparison in finals, simply because it’s easier to do that with fewer bands. If that makes sense

I was truly impressed. The streams looked like they were being done by technicians familiar with band instead of a sports livestream service who happened to band that year

I can’t believe the season is over… feels like just yesterday I was at the HEB marching contest and now I’m watching grand nats livestream from my room trying to fight off this cold I caught. Life is so crazy
