So what are the 30 bands again for this area, because the draw says 29 with that blank unless that blank is Goose Creek I'm guessing?? -

I'm sure they'll climb, most bands with difficult music and drill, just need to clean clean clean! -

Foster has truly grown, and I'm sure this class upgrade to 6A will be beneficial for the future of their program. -

Alr here are my power rankings for week (September 28th) Based on results, and performances found online. 1: Pearland 2: Stephen F Austin 3: Clear Brook 4: Foster 5: Dickinson 6: Dawson 7: Fulshear 8: Clear Lake 9: Clear Falls 10: Shadow Creek 11: Pasadena Memorial 12: Brazoswood First 2 out George Ranch, and Clements. If you have any comments so I can edit this would love to hear them, ik it's a bit controversial but it's just for the week of September 28th going off mostly scores that I know aren't accurate to UIL at all. -

If yall want we could provide power rankings every week to keep track of the changing of the top 12, since that's technically possible to have 12 finalists -

Me personally would wait a bit to predict this area, keep in mind bands have until November 2nd, that's a pretty good chunk of time till then to clean -
So for the first time I think ever. Baytown went from just being a Showcase to a Regional probably explaining why the date was moved forward. It used to be just a one time performance and your done, but now it's a prelims/Finals competition. 12 bands will be admitted into finals out of the 28 (used to be 29 MacArthur dropped)

Hello everyone! I think it's about that time of the season where our bands will finally finish their shows! At least drill wise obviously. If yall wanna start sharing the bands in this area of any caliber I think now would be the perfect starting point to see the progress throughout the season for these bands! 😀 -

The draw is always suspicious, some things always stay consistent it's weird. New bands changed it a bit tho -

I assure everyone that this is going to be a year to watch that will decide the future of this area, and it's competitors. Might be entering a new era for Area E... -

Fredom Field has a capacity of 10,280 while Challenger only has 10,000 a small difference but 280 is 280. Also freedom field is the 9th most expensive in Texas, Challenger is 10th. Freedom Field is 2 years newer. I got all this info from the wfaa ABC 8 article on August 17th 2023. A really big difference tho is the track Challenger has and Freedom field doesn't, that's very good for Freedom Field, because that means the sound doesn't have to travel as much, meaning bands will sound way louder. That's something exciting. Also the parents helping with Challenger Area can finally go see their students perform at Area, as somebody in this forum previously said, tho the Alvin parents now have to volunteer for this year's area contest, I think this a positive change. -

I was talking to a 6A director from this area, and apparently the area is moving stadiums to Freedom Field in New Caney next year? Guessing that means 5A is in webster.
