Didn't manage to make it to this comp😢, surprised w the results none the less. Coppell getting first OBVIOUS, Keller second is a great sign for them! Lot of people didn't seem to like their show at the start of year but that doesn't seem like it mattered! Timber Creek with a huge third, probably my favorite show of this year the music is just MWAH. And ofc bubble band SLC, definitely my favorite show from them in a while. Not sure about KC, didn't see their show but I've heard its pretty decent. Pretty surprised with LD Bell, I mean they were ON TOP of their stuff last year and now they definitely are down in terms of overall skill. GREAT showing for Lake Ridge, being able to win over LD Bell in prelims is a big accomplishment for the school. I still believe they had probably the most technically difficult music here. Lots of double tonguing and what not done exceptionally well. Don't know much about Trinity, were they in a different area before this year?

They actually used the state way of judging rather than UIL Area. Not sure why they swapped probably cause Hebron was there or something, so scores could swap between the two.

Luckily, looking at weather forecasts shows that rain doesn't have a high chance until about 3 pm. I believe there are only 3 or 4 bands in the 3pm block? So if those can get finished before it starts raining I would assume finals would just be pushed back, or there would be no finals.

I tend to prefer Caroll over Bell. Caroll beats Bell in like every visual aspect, so if they just have a good musical run I'm sure they be fourth.

Gonna take a stab at predictions 1. Coppell (pretty obvious) 2. Timber Creek(scoring crazy high) 3.Keller(I see them cleaning before area) 4.Caroll Senior(very impressed with them at prosper) 5.LD Bell(probably the most difficult show here but yet to be clean) 6.Keller Central(overall good band made finals at prosper over Mckinney bands) 7. Haltom(have yet to see their show just know they did good in mustang) 8.Lake Ridge(Pretty similar to their usual except music, I can see them swapping between 6-8 depending on how much they clean) ABSOLUTELY ZERO CLUE ON THE LAST TWO SPOTS. Im gonna take some random guess and say 9-10 will be bands like Martin, Mansfield, North Crowley, uhhh maybe SGP?? Really not sure with the last two lol. THESE PREDICTIONS WILL LIKELY CHANGE AFTER DUNCANVILLE MARCHING INVITATIONAL.

Sachse sounded top tier!! Overall agree with these placements. 1.sachse 2.reedy 3.duncanville 4.lebanon 5.lake ridge 6.lovejoy 7.north garland seems like most bands had their show done except lake ridge probably accepting their score. But I see SOOO much improvement from every band here!!! Lovejoys rapunzel show is so cool! Sachses guard is friggin nuts! Reedy is just SO clean. I’m not sure what Lebanon’s theme exactly is, but I enjoyed their music and such. Lake ridge as strong as ever, sounding way better than last year. North garland had some pretty impressive dynamics.Great job to every band here!

Id say Coppel And Keller are the only locks if LD Bell isn't going then. I feel as if the placements of bands at this area is lower than what it has been most years. I think any band in finals could swipe those last two state spots up for themselves with a good performance.

They are all not in area B anymore. Area B pretty much consists of like 7 REALLY good bands then a fall off. Not sure who is locked to make it here besides like coppel or LD Bell. Lake Ridge is looking amazing after Mansfield Preview Of Champions despite weird placements. They have an incredible brass book. Keller Central is kind of the same way, placed low at HEB despite them placing high every year. The only band I can confirm that have improved so far is Lake Ridge, not sure about where the others will be the time Area comes but based off years prior I'd assume they'd still be better than bands like Lake Ridge or James Martin.

Definetly isn’t trashing. Even if it is he’s entitled to his own opinion about midlothians show. Some will enjoy some won’t. Nothing to get worked up about.

I think lake ridge still shoulda took best music though, crazy intense double tonguing that is clear. Glissandos and high notes everywhere. Just a really difficult music book performed well. Colleyville DEFINITELY had the best visual. Their flag work even being in marching band is beautiful.

Best music execution and guard. Lake ridge visual was apparently 610, did they just have the absolute worst marching of all time?😭

Told yall it was disastrous! I completely do not see how a band that doesn’t get any awards at all diffs bands by a whole point difference. Lake ridge was pretty terrific, Berkner was solid, and colleyville visual was amazing. Sorry but I’m not agreeing with this competition.

They have improved that much? I might be wrong here but i dont believe they even made finals last year.

2019 year specifcally. Quite literally had a band that didnt attend make finals. Just chaos from what ive heard and seen. I do agree the last 2-3 years have been better, and Im starting to agree with their judging system more. However, it is mainly distratous as some placements we make(since this contest is so early) can be based off just results from last year and things like that. So placements here normally tend to be pretty different from what most would predict. Good for some bands, bad for others kind of thing.

Don't see how they wouldn't make state, Area C is wayyyyyyy less competitive then their old area which was area B.
