For sure! Very good look for UISD

I think historically you gotta count JBA and Hanna, with what I saw last night, United will round out the short list. Some really solid performances. taking into account UIL scoring does differ from BOA, but looking and where the 6As placed and their scores.

We are hitting the heart of the season when bands start dialing things in and fine tune with clinicians so I’m sure there will be plenty of movement along the ways!

If I’m being honest, this is a bit reminiscent of 2019. That show and band for them was for sure going to contend for the SMC podium. Me thinks they have another shot here. The reality of Covid in the RGV really hit everyone and set back a majority of programs many years. Pretty awesome to see so many back up to form!

If you look at the top half/bottom half groupings, tonight is going to be electric! Majority of these programs are well Season for night shows, and I’m sure will make necessary adjustments. Roma sweeping AA I’m sure has Pioneer fired up. Pieper new to the McAllen Region and now Class AAA champs, where’d they fair overall?!? Battle in AAAA land with crosstown rivals United and Alexander. Preview of the Area G all starters perhaps??

I CAN’T WAIT FOR TOMORROW!! So my top four: 1 - 2: Roma/Pioneer 3 - 4: JBA/Del Rio NOT downplaying any program at all. These top four I believe are interchangeable within these slots. Slight edge to R&P because I saw their shows recently. Some definite variety within all these shows. All well designed, and well executed. Super exciting for the audience tomorrow!

Keeping my top four until later in the week, but: 5. United 6. Pieper 7. PSJA SW 8. Edinburg 9. Vela 10. Hidalgo 11. Weslaco 12. Pace IMO I think it’s going to be a really tight race for the podium.

Saw a video of Roma, clean, that Roma sound, should be a great year for them for sure
