  1. Cinco Ranch will be in the top 3. Just watch. Their marching band director has a track record of taking "decent" programs and shooting them up really quick.
  2. Leander ISD 5As should be watched out for. Especially Rouse (I think they’ll win). Roma, Forney, McCallum are others to watch for. No idea for 3C right now.
  3. Gino had China Spring 2nd in Brass in prelims
  4. Those are all of the judges but who’s on Prelims panel and what are they judging? That’s what I’m looking for…
  5. What happened to Killeen? They got no score for finals, did they perform?
  6. I still question the tabulation here. Joe Pruitt is too consistent of a judge to place a group in 3rd, 4th and 21st (last) in his sub captions.
  7. J. Pruitt wouldn’t have had the other numbers for Forney as high as he did if it accurate. It’s most certainly an mistake/error with competition suite.
  8. This is strange, director verification should've caught this.
  9. Wild guesses maybe: 1. Cedar Park 2. Rouse 3. Wakeland 4. Lone Star 5. Aledo 6. Leander 7. Hendrickson 8. Friendswood 9. Burleson Centennial 10. Colleyville Heritage 11. Roma 12. Pieper ——————— 13. Richland
  10. Hm maybe we should be on the lookout for a high placement from Dawson…
  11. I am just praying that Leander gets into top half for finals.
  12. Maybe not Pearland, they were inches away from being beat at area. 1 ordinal point away...
  13. My thoughts (IMO) Foster and Fulshear moved up to 6A, it’s a different class and game entirely. We probably shouldn’t have had any expectations. They did well in context of that. I honestly think judging was pretty well done here, many of the groups saw consistent Neighborhood numbers which is good. This is a lot different than pre-2022 when everything was all over the place. I think the folks at UIL are to be commended. Also, the venue was AMAZING.
  14. Somethings of note: - Brazoswood 24th in Prelims. - Foster scratching into Finals by 2 ordinal points. - Highest ever placement by a Pasadena ISD Band at an area contest (7th) - Dawson winning music over Pearland in Finals - Stephen F. Austin advancing to state with only 1 judge having them advancing.
  15. Finals ordinal totals (not listed on UIL website: 1. Pearland - 8 2. Dawson - 9 3. Clear Brook - 16 4. Dickinson - 17 5. Stephen F. Austin - 29 6. Clear Lake - 35 7. Pasadena Memorial - 37 8. Foster - 38 9. Clements - 42 10. Churchill Fulshear - 44
  16. Prelims was: 1. Pearland 2. Dawson 3. Dickinson 4. Stephen F. Austin 5. Clear Brook 6. Clements 7. Churchill Fulshear 8. Clear Lake 9. Pasadena Memorial 10. Foster - - - - - - - - - - - - 11. Shadow Creek 12. Clear Springs
  17. Top 5 at lunch: 1. Foster 2. Clear Lake 3. Churchill Fulshear 4. Clements 5: Pasadena Memorial
  18. Surprised by Ridge Point, Very good, might even be in finals.
  19. Their sound has DEFINITELY rounded out over the season. I think they’ll be in 6-10 in music but I think 3rd or 4th in visual. (No i’m not overreacting) Someone needs to do a case study into their visual program. They look very good, it’s shockingly clean AND difficult. Their designer deserves a cookie.
  20. Manvel and Dawson’s pre area runs.
  21. Official Txbands.com average predictions (taken from the predictions page): 1. Pearland 2. Dickinson 3. Dawson 4. Stephen F. Austin 5. Clear Brook 6. Foster 7. Churchill Fulshear 8. Pasadena Memorial 9. Clear Lake 10. Brazoswood ———————————— 11. Shadow Creek
  22. The EXPECTED amount of bands to advance to the state contest AS OF 10/31: Area A: 2 Area B: 4 Area C: 4 Area D: 5 Area E: 5 Area F: 5 Area G: 2 Area H: 4 Area I: 4 Area J: 4 Expected total: 39 Finals number: 12 My information is confirmed and accurate unlike some people's. We have to remember that more groups could advance to the state contest based off of the "bad judge rule" that can be found on the UIL website. If just 1 more band advances to the state contest, we would see 14 groups in finals.
  23. They will position 6-10 in the order those schools fall on the finals list. After that, they will do the same for ranks 1-5.
