shhhh let it die. At the same time, I think hanna will place higher than JBA. JBA prob top 30's and hanna mid 30's.

Yesssss, United had some challenging content WITH a young band and new staff. Their numbers are finally going up. (I'm an alum🤫). I'm excited to see where this new United goes.

I don't get why people are so surprised with JBA every year. They clearly have a formula that works, and that's great for them. All we can do is respect it cause they put on some great shows. As for all the other results. It really couldve been anyone. Truly. That's NOT to say Hanna wasn't amazing cause they always are.

Wow, what an interesting year. Los Fresnos basically touching state advancement after being last in finals last year. Hanna making a comeback after 3 years. Jba Area G Champ for the 3rd time this decade. Psja NOT making finals after Area G champs last year :0. United getting 4th even with a really young band and staff changes. Congrats to hanna and jba and everyone who participated. This comp never ceases to amaze me lol.

Weslaco, PSJA, United, Edinburg North, Hanna, Edinburg, Los Fresnos, Harlingen, JBA, are all consistent finals placers. It's always sad to see bands NOT make finals since this competition is so cut throat every year (This year especially). Pretty scary comp!

Edinburg pretty strong, I expect good things from them this year. Harlingen was alright, but really good for a band of that size. Maybe that'll be taken into consideration. Hanna was good as always, but I miss that spark from 2021. JBA is still JBA. Big big sound, but uses too many soloists for my liking. Still state worthy show though. United has some of my favorite content and uniforms. Although, it needs to be cleaned. PSJA was okay, didn't stand out to me. Los Fresnos has definitely improved from last year. Hope they move up!

The elephant in the room would probably be JBA, their band has consistently made state for a while (not sure how long the streak is rn). I don't like dealing in absolutes, but they're a safe bet to make state. Maybe this year we'll have a BD 2024 moment.🤷‍♂️

Even for prelims, there's some crazy competition. Hopefully there aren't terribly bad upsets...

I'm not sure about any Pigskin results, but some standouts were definitely Edinburg, Hanna, and Weslaco. Pretty sure one of these three will make it to State.

True, but if I remember correctly, if just one of the 6A schools don't get a 1, then there will only be 14 schools participating. I could be wrong tho!! (someone fact check me)

For sure. I'm just happy to have south texas represent at one of the biggest marching comps in texas!

Wow! definitely love the Weslaco come up. They always put on a show. I wonder if Edinburg and Edinburg North will closely duke it out at Area. Sad to see United at 7th, it would be unfortunate not to see them at Area since I love the theme of their show. Area G finalists always put on a great competition! This year sure is cut-throat!

Does anyone know about the UISD Marching Festival? It's on Saturday, but I can't seem to find a schedule for it. There should be a number of Area G bands attending.

Anyone else think it's really cool to see the two laredo schools side by side? I really hope they both make it to State this year!

I heard Sharyland is going, but does anyone know the performance time?
