Not sure where those stats came from, but Wakeland was awarded Champion for BOA North Texas at Prosper last year and the year before with sweeps in Music, Visual, and GE in finals both 2022 and 2023. Agreed, it will be an epic comp on Saturday!

@astronautika, I take it you’re not a Pat Metheny fan? One could argue the opposite of your opinion, as was reflected in the scores at BOA Bedford. Possibly your “evoking a feeling” is a personal connection to the school itself, or preference of recognizable melodies from symphonic works to syncopated out of the box jazz fusion. Whatever the opinion, music preference is subjective, and that is exactly the point. GE is the whole package, cleanliness, drill, intonation, overall music expression that is being portrayed.
