Great post and I fully agree. Only correcting this part because my kid was part of the 2019 Spartan Regiment that finished 5th in state finals.

Exactly. Directors will use them to help motivate the kids for finals.

They get leaked super easily. All of the directors get the recap during their director’s meeting before announcements. I’ve seen them share the recaps pretty liberally before.

I promise I don’t mean any disrespect at all. Richland won a BOA comp that any respectable TX band would have won and US Bands Burleson wasn’t exactly stacked, although I do wonder what happened to Byron Nelson there. BC had a much rougher draw on an awful Saturday than Richland did. I think that was a factor as much as anything. The dome will be much friendlier.

I saw them live for the first time on Saturday night but have watched videos of all their other performances. I heard a little bit of a tear in the battery early on that I hadn’t heard in any of the other performances. I thought they looked clean visually other than a couple slips on the wet turf. Guard was really good. They had the second earliest slot in prelims so you know that was a super long day. I think the dome will be good for them and they finally got a good draw with their performance time.

Surprised at the visual scores for BC. They looked really good and clean. Thankfully it didn’t sink them. This seems to be the same story every year for Azle. Not sure what they aren’t figuring out but at some point they’re going to have to make an adjustment for UIL scoring.

This is a heck of a leak. Have they even been announced yet?
