Congrats to all the bands. Super excited I got to watch Canyon in prelims and finals for the 3rd straight year. It was a fantastic experience and all these bands were incredible.

Well we are stuck in a long rain delay again. Area A hasn’t finished prelims yet. 5 more bands to go

Well good morning on a very wet area A day.

Could make for some interesting performances and possible results depending on how everything works out. But Lord willing it will just be cloudy and maybe light rain so we can do the whole thing

Here are the bands competing at area A on November 2nd, 2024 Big Spring West Plains Lake View Canyon Liberty HS Irvin HS Greenwood Borger Dumas Snyder Perryton Randall Pampa Hereford Andrews Pecos Fort Stockton There will be 7 finalists, and 3 bands headed to state. Going to be sad watching some bands go home.

Braswell won AAAA Richland won AAA Pecos won AA Liberty won A If I got one wrong I will fix

So excited to be at the contest. I know my daughter is so excited to see some of these schools perform at the contest.

I know Canyon HS will be there

I wonder if Randall H.S. will be going again this year and if any other Canyon ISD schools go

So how many bands will advance to state in this one? Would love to see Amarillo make it. Want as many panhandle schools as possible to make it

Yeah I really think all 4 of them make finals. Area A was kind of similar to that where the top 4 were similar scores to this one and 5th was a little ways back. Look forward to seeing the bands and good luck to all. Would love to see Canyon and Randall make finals again for the 2nd year in a row. And compete with some of the best bands in the state.

I think there will be a couple good bands deserving that may miss out this year on finals. It seems like 4A is getting a bit deeper

Randall is a big maybe because one week they are amazing but at area they had a kid fall and some mistakes. So it depends on if they put it all together and West Plains concern is content in the show. But I could definitely see this being the finals. Would love to see all Canyon ISD schools make it

Pecos was pretty good, Randall and West Plains are similar to last year. Canyon’s show content wise is better than last year they just have to execute it. They got 1st in prelims and 2nd in finals but got all 1s in music. So I think they are all pretty similar to last year. The 3 Canyon bands should compete to make finals and Pecos will probably be mid teens. I wouldn’t be shocked to see the 3 Canyon ISD schools to be similar to last year showing wise in state.
