By no means do my predictions reflect how area will go, I am ranking based on my opinions, and I am definitely not a judge. Clements and Pasadena Memorial both looked really good at US bands last weekend, I wouldn’t count them out just yet. Like I said, this area has stepped up a lot from last year, so good luck to all the bands on the rest of their seasons! -

Clements has had a rough start, placing 8th at Alvin ISD Invitational and 5th at US Bands Baytown. They look to be improving, but with how competitive area E is this year, who knows where they’ll end up. Here are my current predictions: 1. Pearland 2. Dickinson 3. Foster 4. Dawson 5. Fulshear 6. Pasadena Memorial 7. Clements 8. Clear Brook 9. SFA 10. Clear Lake 11. Shadow Creek 12. Clear Falls 13. Brazoswood 14. Travis 15. Clear Springs 16. Ridge Point -

Even though it probably won't happen, it's possible we could get six to state if everyone makes it past region. At the very least, it eliminates the possibility of only having four go like last year. -
Both Foster and Fulshear could move up next year, each having 2,190 and 2,120 students respectively. Both of them made state this year, Foster placing 18th and Fulshear placing 14th, so they can definitely still be competitive in 6A. Although they aren't as competitive, Manvel has 2,900 students, so I'm not sure why they aren't already 6A.

Even with this setback, I think Brazoswood can still perform well at area. While their drill/visual is not very strong, they have great ge moments and difficult music, which they perform well. In my predictions, I had them placing 7th, but I could definitely see them placing higher.

BOA leans twords the effect and design of the show and UIL leans twords the execution and cleanliness of the show

Finals Predictions 1. Pearland 2. Dawson 3. Dickinson 4-6. Clear Brook, Clements, SFA 7. Brazoswood 8. Shadow Creek 9. Elkins 10. Pasadena Memorial Clear Falls and Clear Lake also have a chance to get into finals.

As of right now, there are 24 bands advancing to area, so 4 will advance to state.
