I sorta' wish we were going now... but at the same time... I'm exhausted from all these contests and having to wake up early for church. So maybe it's a good thing we're not going... But we've never made finals at a Super Regional... and that'd be soooooooooooooooooooooooo cool haha.

THIS IS THE YEAR!!! well... assuming that you guys don't hurt our QB for the third year in a row... haha it's going down on friday!!! and if you want to go back even further... MHS used to be the building by our old stadium which then turned into mary orr, which then turned into the alternative education... and before that it was the 100 year old building in the downtown area next to the baseball field (this is Mansfield ISD's 100th year!!!)

ahhhh... the days before the school's split.... that would be a 700+ member band give or take... and we would win state hands down... seriously... think about it. Mansfield + summit + t-view + legacy... 7 years ago their were 500 people in mansfield's band then they split... is that not ridiculous!?!?!

I pretty much play COD 4 all day... and occasionally NCAA. my friend wang always steals my PSP just to play NCAA 08

is a horrible... but incredibly lucky fantasy football owner. ex: i offered to trade ronnie brown and plaxico burress for marvin harrison and he turned me down!!! DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB!!!

all we have is the greatest high school running back in the area... and it's pretty much a dropoff from there. haha But if you guys aren't doing anything on friday come out to our new multi million dollar stadium. Good game. Good bands. Great tradition. It's black out week! (every year when we play summit, we wear all black) and i'm serious... the stands are solid black.. it's epic.

ok so i have the rundown on the school zone thing summit is in arlington and most of the students live in arlington. T-view is in arlington and they have about an equal number of students from Grand Prarie, Mansfield, and Arlington. Mansfield is... in Mansfield... and we're all from.... you guessed it... Mansfield... Now... Legacy was brand new last year, so they let students transfer to it if they wanted to. While their zoned for the downtown area of Mansfield and Burleson/Retta, most of their students are from... Everywhere pretty much... haha our school district is weird. No lies.

yeah i remember when i was in 8th grade i went to the Area marching contest with my dad, and they were like now on the field from arlington texas please welcome summit high school! and i was like.... lolwut? But if i'm not mistaken isn't t-view in Grand Prarie? Someone check my math on that, because idk for sure.

and once again... i am reminded why i love the fact that mansfield and arlington are pretty much one town =D we're the last band... and we're ten minutes away... so our call time isn't until like... noon.. haha idk the exact time.. but we've been on that early wake up time before... *cough* st. louis *cough*

i guess that's just how good they are. haha

are you serious!?!? i didn't know that... i guess that's what our band gets for never sitting in the stands watching other bands. In the past, with the time slots we've gotten we've been rushing around everywhere and had no time to watch other bands or hang out with them in the least. hopefully that will change next saturday, especially since we're not the only mansfield school there now =D

nope... idk why, it was only for prelims though.

oh almost forgot... rumor has it that we won GE in finals?!?! and seeing as how 1/3 of BOA's point system is GE......... i'm not saying anything...... but look out next week haha

that's my fault... lol our director showed me his idea for the logo... and it naturally has to have a heart, but the one he had was like... OFF THE WALL FEMININE!!! so i showed him the kingdom hearts logo... let's just say that i didn't expect him to copy it exactly how it was... haha and this was one of the most enjoyable contests i've ever been to. It was so cool when all the bands started doing the wave!!! I thought it was tight that we were all sitting together and stuff. You won't find that at BOA or anything... except we weren't allowed to talk to our friends from t-view... that was pretty lame...

You would be correct there. We're trying to change that, but since UIL is more playing oriented..... yeah... Let's just say we look better than we sound. In the past our problem has always been select people overplaying, but we're starting to get that under control and hopefully we'll do better this year.

very true... not to mention the fact that UIL is also for sports... So if BOA bought them, then that would mean that instead of winning the UIL state football/basketball/anything trophy... you would win the BOA state trophy..... and i doubt that's gonna' happen.

that last block of bands.... is INSANE!!!! i'm so stoked.

the district should pay for all of their UIL events... isn't that like a state law? or is our district just nice..? and i'm sure that since they're the national champions and all... that they probably get some funding from the district.... just guessing though

judging by their staff... it's safe to say that they have a little bit of money.

that is waay too slim of a margin.... hopefully this year we can get that last push and move into the top 5.
