I’m about to be a Rockwall alumni and Rockwall has a lot of things going right for them in this next season. Can’t wait to see what happens in area C in 2025.

I promise you those Heath kids are not upset. They shouldn’t be at least because they have just made SCHOOL HISTORY! First time in Area Finals so I wouldn’t be upset if I were them.

Yeah they did best Richardson at BOA Waco so anything can happen.

I would like to take back what I said about my senior year. That is so much worse. I am so sorry.

I honestly kind of feel like my senior year was stollen a little bit. This is extremely disappointing for me. This is something I’ve been looking forward to for my entire marching season.

Yeah Rockwall has made area finals every year and those full band retreats are the thing I remember most about the entire season. Not the results… but the people you get to meet.

One of my friends showed me a picture of the finals schedule and it says DM retreat.

I mean maybe but we don’t know for sure. Rockwall did beat rock hill at prosper. I’m not saying that means Rockwall would beat them but anything can happen.

I understand that, but that is the most fun thing about the whole area competition. Just getting to talk to and play around with other band kids from different schools is so fun and where you create the most memories. I would completely sacrifices my sleep to be able to do that retreat.

I’ve just heard of this and I don’t know for sure, but are they seriously taking away the full band retreat at the end? Like I’m sorry but you’re making us do this competition on a Tuesday and then also taking that away? Literally the 2nd best thing about making finals? The most impactful experience of the competitions? I just don’t get why they want to take that away from us. Me personally it is almost the best thing about the Area Marching Contest.

I haven’t seen much from any of the Richardson schools. Looking forward to seeing some if not all of them in finals on Tuesday.

Let me clarify. Stand still and play 5 times… every other time is marching and playing.

Yeah maybe don’t say things online without knowing with 100% certainty. Rockwall band kid here that literally stands and plays about 5 times total in the whole 10 minute show. Also understand how the judging works and how most of the time the bands that you think “should” make it aren’t always the ones who make it.

No matter how much some people may dislike how much money yall get, no one can argue about what yall put on the field and it is never not entertaining! Congrats on making state in this packed area. If you look at the point difference between Plano east and Rock Hill it is a 2 point gap, so they were super close.

I believe it is just this one but I’m not 100% sure.

I’m sure UIL will post it on there website somewhere.

It’ll be better than the election

It’s intresting that Area J is still going through with preforming on Saturday though.

We just found out about 20 minutes ago directly from our director.

Dang… had family coming in to watch too.

The amount of people saying “these results are wrong” are crazy to me. Like the judges are the judges. I’m sorry if you don’t agree with what they have and yes some things don’t make any sense. Rockwall got 13th in musical ensamble but 3rd and 4th In brass and WW. You can be mad at all these results but you can’t change what these judges put so you can’t say that these results are “wrong”.
