Can anyone confirm how many state spots there will be? I counted 27 bands getting a 1 which means 5. I’m just confused because if that’s true I thought it would’ve been a bigger deal.

There are 24 bands in 6A area C so even if everyone received a 1 there would still be 4. Also yes there will be 10 advancing to finals. If there are 30 bands that advance to area then that’s when 12 will be in finals.

So I counted 22 6A bands advancing to Area. That means 4 will be advancing to the state computation.

Longview is in 6A this year. I’m not sure about the whole military band thing but they got top 3 at the military state marching contest last year.

They are being announced. The rest of region 3 is being announced at 8 o’clock

I don’t have anything to say about 5A Area B but I had no clue there were so many Frisco schools. And all of them are pretty dang good. I didn’t know that many people lived in Frisco. Just crazy to me.

On there calendar they don’t have any competition listed for this Saturday.

I agree I do think this area is a lot easier, however, the bands here are still at a pretty high level. Like not Lewisville level but if you were to come watch area finals you will not be disappointed with the caliber of bands.

Yeah I saw that so I know they’re good. Rockwall played them in the second week of football and they looked really good then. Got to meet some of the band memebers too so I’m excited to see them preform.

I’m very impressed with mickinney highs show this year.

I’m not sure about if they got a 1, but even though Longview is a military they’re 1 still counts towards Area. Also Tyler Legacy got a 1 rating at the mesquite marching festival on September 28th so they should get a 1 tonight. Longview got a medal at the military state marching contest so they should also get a 1.

I love heaths show! The ending is so calming and with all the band falling in circles around the color guard to symbolize roses blooming im assuming. I hope I will get to watch them at Area.

I’m not saying anything bad about North Forney, but are they doing good this season. I know they didn’t do that best last year, so I’m just curious why you think they’ll beat Berkner and Royce city. Again please don’t think I’m saying anything bad about these bands.
