Okay Foster kid here (and if you didn’t ask for my opinion I’m sorry, I’m still gonna say it anyway): It’s complicated. Not only is our preliminary performance so early, there might not be a finals on Saturday with what the weather’s looking like rn, so I can’t say with certainty that we’ll overtake them. Am I saying that we can’t try? No. We absolutely can; we have that potential. Maybe I’m just thinking too much about the weather??

Yeah I honestly don’t know how we beat them at BOA 😭 their show is so freaking good. Competition is so tight in this area it’s scary.

So question: if, by any chance, it does rain during the contest Saturday, what will happen? Will it be a prelims-only event or will they reschedule it?

Now take this with a grain of salt because besides Pearland getting the obvious gold, it’s anyone’s game (which is why I was hesitant to make this in the first place- also I didn’t wanna be rude to other people that view these forums that are a part of these programs and I don’t rank them as high as they’d probably hoped for) so pleaseee don’t take this seriously, the results might be wildly different this Saturday! Obvious Winner: 1. Pearland (who’s gonna place above them at this point? They are a freaking POWERHOUSE 😍) Spots 2-5: 2. Dawson (Holy music ensemble!!! Will win over a music judge- or two- for sure!) 3. Dickinson (their Willy Wonka show theme is so cuteee!!! They sound great and are great!!!) 4-6. SFA (Have heard so many awesome things from SFA but have yet to see their show- will probably watch it during lunch tomorrow on YouTube if I can find it…) 4-6. Clear Brook (Love the theme and the uniforms! Guard and percussion splendid as always!! Also their ensemble sound is just so awesome!!) Bubble for State: 4-7. Foster (hmm…I wonder who these guys are… never heard of them 😜- in all seriousness, we have what it takes to make state but performance time is really screwing us over) 6-8. Pasadena Memorial (all I have to say: HOLY. DRILL. 🤯) Rest Of Finalists: 7-9. Fulshear (Holy opener! So fun and killer low brass!) 8-10. Shadow Creek (beautiful flute soloist and VERY clean feet holy crap… idk if I should place them higher 🤷🏼‍♀️) 9-10. Clear Lake (I haven’t seen their show yet but they consistently make finals so I’m going off of that…I know that’s not very good evidence to back up my ranking for them, I’m sorry) Finalist Bubble (because this Area is CRAZY): George Ranch, Travis, Ridge Point, Clear Falls, Elkins, Clements Also might I add @Oboeish20 I STRONGLY agree with your list that you made a couple hours ago 😁

W words right there 🔥🔥 In all seriousness, you can’t just compare a program or your own program to other programs just because of what you’ve done in the past. You gotta focus in on what’s gonna happen that Saturday morning/afternoon/evening to show that you really matter in this Area, and that’s the mindset I’m trying to get into before this Saturday.
