Reference to Area J, the finalists of which are almost entirely the same as with pre-2024 Area C. Basically talking about the good ole days lol

I love Area C, the only comp you can get the Wylies, Mckinneys, Prospers, and Lewisvilles all in the same… oh, right

1: definitely read this in the voice of Draco Malfoy 2: yeah if there was a way it could’ve been LISD 3 + Sachse + Waxahachie from C and Prosper + Braswell + Wylie from J that would definitely be better, considering Braswell and Wylie just had what was arguably both of their best seasons ever (certainly Braswell at least, my goodness), and had fan favorite shows, but just couldn’t crack the utter UIL gerrymandering

I mean, I wouldn’t say anything was ‘taken’ from anyone, but if someone will be blamed, just for the sake of consistency Wylie East took the 6th spot last year when boyd got 7th, and Prosper got 5th lol

Yeah, but in creating a balanced Area they gave us an absolute abomination elsewhere 😭

Yup they took almost all the main competition from C and just smashed us into J☹️ I will miss C, and gotta deal with J for 3 more years

Completely agreed, it may be harder to win GN (maybe not even, some years lol) but SA is just more of a solid wall of competition compared to Nats. There isn’t really a comparison in my mind.

Yeah barring disqualification by field timing or otherwise, every band in this area should get a 1, agreed. Hoping we dont have a Wakeland 2022 (2021?) or Lovejoy 2023 situation with anyone, that would suck

As a Wylie East member (and soloist (twice)) our entire season is structured to meet Area J head on. I can confirm we’ll be fighting tooth and nail for that 4th spot

How. How did this happen. I recognize no mistake that we made in prelims that we didnt recover from that would’ve kept us out of finals. And as a soloist that was likely my best performance run yet. How.

It is 4, which is vied for by Wylie East, Wylie, Prosper, and Boyd. My money is on Wylie East but Im just a little bit biased😂
