100%. Half of this is flat out wrong, I simply can't believe it. The differences between prelims and finals are too much. It's too much.

Content and achievement.

These are very weird. The inconsistencies for some bands from prelims to finals really needs to be taken into question here. Rockwall got 11th in brass in prelims and 3rd in finals...? Lake Travis goes from 3rd in individual visual to 8th? 7th in ensemble to 4th..? Their music scores were also wildly variable too, probably because they went first in finals. Southlake carrol getting 1st in visual ensemble and 8th in individual? These are just 3 of the standouts to me. It's just all quite odd and weird. I really don't know what to think of these recaps.

Ahh, good point. Wonder how they're gonna do here, no one's seem them anywhere. Apparently they were good at their region competition, according to that thread.

Per the Lake Travis Band Instagram, they are performing what would appear first in finals, at 6pm. Wonder why...? Guess they don't wanna stick around.

LT has only been to BOA Austin, finishing 10th. Probably because of their trip up to Midwest this year. Not a ton of marching band competitions I suppose.

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree. It may come down to a matter of personal opinion, but I noticed some strange things at BOA San Antonio last year and a few other competitions.

It's 100% a thing. Name bias creeps in and often times people will end up agreeing because the people watching are biased themselves. It's a genuine problem.

How many were in all the regions last year? There were 21 at area last year.
