  1. Fyi: this was early October, you HAVE to see the rest of the closer and all the new tweaks they did to the already existing parts.
  2. While I greatly respect all of the other bands who will be looking to compete for a state qualifying spot this Saturday (or a later date who knows with the weather), I just cannot see a world where the top five isn’t (in no specific order) coppell, bell, Keller, timber creek, and Carroll. Keller central and Haltom have outstanding shows this year, however they just aren’t at the caliber of the programs up above. Rain or shine (literally), I think those five bands I’ve previously mentioned will take the top 5, and tragically one of those will not be competing at state.
  3. I think this is a really good list. Coppell will most definitely win this competition, and I have timber and 2nd and Keller at 3rd due to Keller blooming late in the season (although them beating Waxahachie + Carroll at DMI yesterday was definitely good for them), but they could easily switch to a 2nd Keller and 3rd Timber result at area finals. Although I believe that Southlake will place 4th and take the last qualifying spot (due to their more successful season this year), don’t be surprised if you see Bell taking that 4th place spot. Their season hasn’t been what it was last year, but they are an incredible program who definitely deserves to be in this state conversation for this area. So here’s my top 4: 1. Coppell 2. Timber Creek*/Keller 3. Keller*/Timber Creek 4. Southlake Carroll First Out: LD Bell (* means preferred school for that placement)
  4. Ooh I’m very excited to hear their finale part. I liked the portion of the closer they performed at Birdville but I felt like it was definitely missing something, but I’m pretty sure this last piece of the puzzle is what is gonna combine this entire show together!
  5. I’m curious how you view Keller as a different program. I’m not disagreeing with you, myself and a ton of people are saying this is the “New Keller”, but I’m just wondering on what makes them different for you.
  6. KELLER VS MARCUS Since Keller didn’t perform their part 2, I can only comment on their part 1. Not gonna lie, Kellers part 1 may be one of the most physically exhausting openers I’ve ever seen. They are spread out all over the field, and there are a lot of marchers that go off the field. There are jazz runs, flutters with choreo (over a 20-30ish yard span, runouts into a curve-linear, and so much form awareness. Musically, they sound great (as always). Their hornline is amazing, and they have two very good flute soloists. There’s some minor tweaks that need to happen which I’m sure they will hit and clean so I’m not worried whatsoever. The biggest challenge with this opener is that since they do so much physically, it’s hard to not sound tired, which isn’t a problem now but if they can 100% nail it, it’ll be super impressive. Visually, they move like a completely different band. Visual performance has always been Kellers weakness, but this year they look really good and really clean. There’s a few choreo spots they have to iron out, but in terms of drill, it’s stupid clean (especially since they are running around for half the time). Can’t wait till I see this with props and no technology issues, congratulations Keller!
  7. Keller has a LOT more of their show learned and performed I promise. They always like to do a spirit show along with their Indiannette performance and their varsity show for the first couple of football games. So that’s why they only played their part 1.
  8. Yeah Keller always does a spirit show during their halftime performance for the first couple of football games, so that’s why that night they only played their part 1. And yes, that is a Dub G screamer .
  9. Seen everything but can’t say everything, great show and actually has a noticeable theme throughout the show, hopefully this is the show that puts Keller back on the road to juggernaut status, seeing as they’ve been weirdly struggling these past two years
