Listen. I know that your band program missing out of finals is a devastating thing to happen to the entire program.. everyone feels like crap, but flat out saying that a band program single handedly took a state spot from another program is not fair to anyone. It makes the band that you are representing online look bad and gives you a bad wrap to your directors. All it takes is one of these band parents(which I guarantee you they stalk these forums) to email one of your directors. I'm not even going to dive in detail about how wrong you are about the state spots being "stolen", because that's not the main purpose of this reply. Instead of boasting on the internet about why your band program should be placed higher than another band, maybe just let the work speak for itself. The judges were hired for a reason.
