    Incase anyone was curious, Dickinson just released their fall football schedule! As a Dickinson student myself, the more I look at this the more it makes me want to cry

    That sounds sick! Can’t wait to see it on the field this fall. Dickinson’s (my school) show reveal is in May, and if I see another show reveal I’ll make sure to share it here

    Dawson’s 2025 show is entitled “Ring of Fire” with selections from: Johnny Cash Dragon Force Resphigi Mahler

    My band director just sent to us our 2025 Marching schedule... and Dickinson is attending the North AND South Houston regionals! (the sucky part is its our first competition of the season)

    I hope it will still be at Freedom Field. Freedom Field may be a longer drive, but it’s a much better stadium.

    I’m not for sure why, but since my school plays games at Challenger a lot, I can give some insight. The acoustics SUCK at challenger. Also, the new stadium is newer, and has more capacity, and way better acoustics.

    thank you for those words! as a Dickinson kid- we didn’t make finals, in fact we made 35th…. So for any outsiders that watched our show (the candy show), Do y’all think we deserved that placement? we thought we had a great run, was it not as great as we thought?

    Sorry, what I meant to say with that post is spots 2-5 were basically a bloodbath in my opinion

    The top 5 spots were wack. we knew Pearland was going to get 1st. Dawson I have to say has a better show than Clear Brook and Dickinson. i feel like the score between CB and Dickinson was very close. and I haven’t seen SFAs show so I have no comment on them.

    What does an electronic pre-show fall under in the timing guidelines? Does it count as setting up or is it counted as performance time?

    Even if the weather isn’t bad on area day, it’s still supposed to rain the rest of the week, which limits outside rehearsals, which limits cleaning up their shows.

    Both have amazing shows! It’s just gonna come down to who has the best run at area

    May I ask, why is everyone rating Dickinson below Dawson? I feel like Dickinson has a stronger performance than last year.

    Dickinson Band Member here! I did not realize that! I can’t find a video of their show I can only find the trombone soloist head cam.

    I don’t remember all the ranking, but I know the first two. 1. Dickinson (best music) 2. Clear Brook (best percussion and guard)

    Hello! I uploaded that video. I'll upload one of our halftime performance from 10/4/24 on my channel. Its from the press box and it has more show in it!

    At my school, we have 4 directors. Head Band Director, 2 Assistant Band Directors, and then Guard Director. The Guard Director focuses on guard during marching season, helps out in band class during marching season, and is a full time winter guard and assistant band director during Concert season. He is director of our Cadet Band during concert season, at least he was last year, we recently added Cadet Band this year.
