I totally agree, The NFHS mic's breaking during the 6a state runs was awesome! (Even the top 5a schools are loud, almost as loud if not, slightly louder than some DCI's. I'm talking about Rouse, CP, and Leander lol)

I would honestly say a lot of different bands have a shot. I think it would be cool for FLOMO to win. I think the top contenders for state though would be Marcus (Maybe), Hebron and possibly Vandy. Vandy knows how to win state but lost their winning streak in several competitions throughout the 2023-2024 marching seasons. I mean I'm not 100% sure on anything. Rouse, a 5a band beat them in 2023 BOA Austin by .15 And Vandy got 5th this year at BOASA. Vandy is an extremely talented band and I have mad respect for them. I would love to see FLOMO win because of their success at BOASA, I think that would be amazing for them. Marcus, overall solid band, also have extreme respect for them, and could see them winning Hebron.... We all know they're insane. Vista, I think might be able to win, but it could be difficult with Vandy, Hebron, FLOMO and Marcus with them

Personally, I would honestly love to see FLOMO when state. That'd be cool to see, I mean they did win BOASA so it could happen. Although, Vandergrift and Hebron are always up there!

I know they're not 6A, but I was not able to watch many 6A bands. But I don't remember much bands in 6A having the musicality, over the DCI feeling

This is so true and yet so sad. I do miss when shows were not as similar to how DCI does theirs. I do know however there are some bands that don't do what DCI does, and generally do really good at BOA, and their shows are BOA oriented. Rouse stuck out to me in this way, Their show this year didn't have the DCI feeling as much and was very musical, something I think they are very good at.

I bet Rouse though, after three years of silver, will push themselves as hard as they can to get gold, they've wanted it for so long, and have come so close! tension will be crazy! However, Anything can happen as you said. This is before any announcements!

Gotta keep TX bands going! I think you're right, CP will probably take it, but I think Rouse will give them a run for their money once again. The tension and competitiveness between those two is crazy!

Is there a way to figure out if you're going to GN in the next year's production? Our band has not gone yet but our directors want to. Apparently we are not next year though. Probably a stupid question but I would love to go.

I love getting to watch bands online because this always makes me laugh. I was watching today and my audio starting distorting because of the insane volume put on some of these 6a bands!! Texas bands are wild, even some 5a bands "broke" the mic's!

Them as well! This comp is mad stacked with insane bands! making finals will be hard enough! Top 8 or 7 even is still crazy imo!

While I think that CP could maybe beat Marcus, Vandy and Hebron are one whole different level. They both have held top 3-4 (I'm not sure right now because I have not checked) spots in the nation. They are both crazy bands. While it's not impossible for them to be beat (Rouse beat Vandy last year at BOA Austin) I think that Vandy And Hebron have the top 2 spots pretty much locked down. It would be awesome to see CP place top 3 though for sure!!

I'm not too sure, I have not seen their show this year, but I bet it could be possible! we'll have to see though for sure!

Just gonna make a quick prediction In no specific order, here are my finalist bands predictions: Vandergrift Hebron Woodlands Pearland Cedar Park Rouse Vista Ridge (People seem doubtful on them for some reason but I got faith) Flowermound Westlake Wakeland CTJ Cedar Ridge Ronald Reagan Leander I'm not too sure about anything else, because I have not seen any other shows this year. These are the ones I'm 99% sure will make finals. Definitely more bands will make finals, But these are the only ones I've seen and know to be honest.

While I think there is an ok possibility for them to beat CP, I think CP might take it again. But it'll be close for sure!
