  1. I'm curious to know which two bands you think would be in the top 5 (replacing 4 and 5)?
  2. That is amazing! Congrats to all of the Leander ISD schools (sorry for being a little late for the celebration)
  3. As a former Marcus student (not graduated haha, transferred schools), I talked to some of the other people (and I believe that the directors said something similar to what I heard when I was a freshman), but I think it was every 4 years I believe (any Marcus alumni or band parents please correct me if I am wrong) that Marcus goes to Grand Nationals.
  4. As a person who's in Area B, hearing this for the first time, it sounds really good and it has a good tone and blend. In my opinion, I feel like I see this show for an advance to finals, and in my opinion (again) a solid 5 to 6 (not last, but not at the top, still really good though)
  5. I respect your top 10, but I mean, why Sulphur Springs over Celina? No shade to anyone who goes to Sulphur Springs (your show is really good), but Celina is back-to-back state marching champions in 4A for 2022 and 2023
  6. Also, to the people I know that go to Flower Mound and Hebron, good luck at state tomorrow you guys!!!
  7. But I mean, the bands that made state (the ones I saw and the others I have not yet) have some really good parts and pieces of them that made them qualify for state. Either way, good luck guys and have a lot of fun! But most importantly, give it your all!!! It may seem nervous at first if you are a first time marcher/prop mover/alternate, (I was like that two years ago my freshman year when I went to state) but in the end, it's not about the results of getting a trophy or not (if you are that competitive then it might be, i'm not throwing any shade to those people), but it's about being able to make new friends with people from other schools and have a really amazing time performing and putting on the best show that you can perform! (Sorry for my little rant, wanted to provide an anecdote here lol).
  8. LET'S GO MARCUS!!! - former MHS bass clarinet (Also, does anyone have a video of Marcus's show this year because I have not seen it yet)
  9. Just a thought that I put out there, and I have seen their show and it is good, hopefully it does make top 10. There were three bands who's show I saw (fully/a majority of) that I feel like should've made to state this year. Again, my opinion for this, but I think that Kennedale, Springtown, and Alvarado should have made state this year.
  10. If I had to make a prediction for who I think will be winning state for 4A, I would have to say that it would be Celina. Their show was absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed it! If I had to pick a close second, it would have to be China Spring. My finals prediction and end results for the top 5 (in my opinion, please don't judge it at all) 1. Celina 2. China Spring 3. Panther Creek 4. Aubrey 5. Farmersville
  11. For all the schools that are going to State, I wanted to say good luck for you guys and I know all of you guys will do amazing!
  12. Oh dang, well I hope your props don't get ruined and I genuinely mean that. Also I hope you can make finals (if there is a finals performance, let's hope for no rain) so that I can see the show that you guys will put on the field on Saturday
  13. If it does rain and gets held up to the point where it can't continue, like mentioned, the performances would be delayed and the preliminary performance results would determine the 5 bands that will advance to state.
