Great job Midlothian!!!

As someone that was at Area F and have seen Midlothian, Colleyville (CH) and BCten multiple times; Midlothian’s 2nd place finish ahead of CH was well deserved. Midlo came in 1st (by 0.17 points) over CH in prelims at the early Mansfield contest. Finals CH came in 1st by 0.3 points. They are very neck and neck. BoA Waco I believe Midlo should have advanced to Finals. However, BoA judges differently than UIL. Midlothian was one of my favorite shows at BoA and Area. I wouldn’t dismiss Midlothian’s Area placement over CH. Their sound, marching lines and overall visual is so good. I’ve really enjoyed their show this season as it has grown and evolved. Hopefully, they have a great, clean run next week. They are my Cinderella team that I’m rooting for to make finals.

I am completely rooting for Midlothian to make State Finals. Their show is amazing. Their 2nd place finish behind Aledo was very deserving. If they do next week what they did yesterday, they have a good chance. They are my Cinderella team. I can't wait to see what they do next week. Go Midlothian!! I know many people are rooting for you all.

Midlothian was very deserving of their second place finish. I have seen them a few times this season and they get better each time. They were absolutely stunning yesterday. Going in I figured they would be on the verge 5/6, but when I saw their prelim and final performances, I knew they were going to State. Getting 2nd place was not in my bingo card for them, but it was well deserved. I did think their show and performances were better than everyone, but Aledo. Congrats to all of the Area bands that advanced to finals and the ones that made it to State.

@Tubalord11 Midlothian High School from the Mansfield contest didn’t attend US Bands. You are thinking of the other Midlothian school, Midlothian Heritage, which always attends US Bands contests.

I was originally referring to people’s comments after preliminaries where they were dogging on Midlothian. I was asking those people if they even saw their show this morning. Can’t dog on something you haven’t seen. obviously, they haven’t learned all of their choreography, but they were one of the few bands to play the entirety of their music from what I saw. It’s early in the season. I’m sure Midlothian along with all the other bands still have much of their show left to learn.

Did any of yall actually watch Midlothian? Or just dogging on them, sight unseen?? They had a great preliminary performance. Hopefully, they bring it for finals.
