this is kinda unrelated but does anybody else think its kinda crazy that this area by itself had 7 more replies than the entire 6a state competition forum last year

I think this is the best list of the year so far all the hot takes are very reasonable

My guess for top 5 1. Bridgeland 2. 7 lakes 3. Cy woods 4. JET 5. Cinco ranch 6-10 (unordered) Langham Jordan Tompkins Cy fair Katy

Knowing absolutely nothing about any of the shows this year here's some tiers i have for the best bands in the area: S: Bridgeland, Cy woods, 7 lakes, CyFair, JET (Most likely making state) A: Langham, Jordan, Tompkins, Cinco (in contention for state if strides are made this year) B: Katy, Waller, Paetow, Cy ranch (Shot of making state if big strides are made this year)

thoughts on bands like Langham creek, Katy, and Cy-Ranch?

I believe their show is on youtube its from about 3 weeks ago tho it feels like kind of a step down from previous years imo I don't really feel much energy in that recording but I feel like they've probably fixed it in the past 3 weeks tho

Really great list only thing I would switch around is bridgeland and cy woods and maybe jet and cinco

I just feel like Cy ranch's show won't do as well in a uil setting as Langham Creeks, tompkins may be wrong but really the bottom 5 are all pretty close plus I feel like tompkins has pretty much stayed the same in quality compared to last year which just isn't going to be enough in this area, it's definitely possible for them to still do very well but it's just hard to see them doing too well in the top 10 considering the vast improvement of the other bands in this area (I definitely respect your opinion and see what you mean tho)

Im assuming you're basing that off of battle at the berry, a lot of the results were weird at that comp so I try not to use that as a major point of reference I see what you mean tho, but imo my biggest take in my predictions is having tompkins barely making finals

I kinda feel like this isn't talked about enough but what do you guys think of the solos in all the bands this year? Anything you think should've been on a different instrument?
