  1. Amazing analysis. Thanks for putting that together. Very interesting.
  2. As a percussion centric fan, something seems off with the final results. Aledo Percussion jumped from 13th in prelims to 1st in finals. That is a BIG jump for a group who has a stellar band but not normally in the discussion for percussion prowess. I get that subjectivity is always part of the scoring, but this raises some suspicion in my mind. Especially given that there was no change in band placements from prelims to finals. The judging was pretty consistent, except for percussion. Does anyone else find this mildly suspect?

  8. MCKINNEY NORTH!!! HOLY heck. Fantastic show. So fun. By far the most entertaining show of this session. Awesome. Congratulations on another successful season and earning a spot in the UIL 5A State Finals. Respect.
  9. BC percussion was 🔥🔥🔥. No wonder they were first in prelims. Need way more power to compete on this stage. Super fun music and the band really brought it home in thr closer. Congratulations on another successful season and earning a spot in the UIL 5A State Finals. Respect.
  10. Welcome to 5A, Argyle. Very nice show. Solid performance overall. Enjoyed hearing you play. Congratulations on another successful season and earning a spot in the UIL 5A State Finals. Respect.
  11. I am a sucker for big sound and powerful brass. Roma delivered on multiple occasions and did not disappoint!! Brought smiles to this fans' face. Well done. Congratulations on another successful season and earning a spot in the UIL 5A State Finals. Respect.
  12. Friendswood.... love the uniforms. Such a cool look, especially here in SA. Great sound and holy brass. Way to wake us up with that opener. I ❤️ the fiddle! Great show overall. Congratulations on a successful season and earning a spot in UIL State Finals. Respect.
  13. How true this turned out to be. Aledo and BC are the only Area F bands in UIL State Finals. Congrats to all Area F bands at State for finishing in the top half. Strong showing of bands in the DFW area.
  14. UIL Area F Finals Results (no scores announced) 10. Birdville 9. Fossil Ridge 8. Chisholm Trail 7. Azle 6. Grapevine 5. Richland 4. Burleson Centennial 3. Colleyville Heritage 2. Midlothian 1. Aledo Congratulations to all bands.

  16. Top 5 favorites (not prediction of results): 1. Richland 2. BC 3. Aledo 4. Azle 5. Midlothian
  17. Colleyville Heritage with a strong opener and solid hits/choreography. Beautiful Colorguard during the ballad. Interesting show overall but not one of my favorites. Congratulations on making Area Finals. See you at State. Respect.
  18. Centennial doesn't have the power of Aledo and Richland, but their Battery and Front Ensemble were 💯🔥🔥🔥. Awesome music and the band really shined in part 3. Way to bring it home Mellos. Comfortably in the Top 3. Congratulations on making Area Finals. See you at State. Respect.
  19. Don't call it a comeback!! Aledo doing Aledo things after missing out on State Finals last year. Powerful, crisp, and fun to watch. Hate to say it, but likely your Area F Champion 🏆. Though.... I think they left the door open just a crack for an upset.
  20. Midlothian making a claim for top 5!! Great sound and loved the sax solo. Groovy!! Colorguard looked great. Congratulations on making Area Finals. Respect.
  21. After 6 bands it is: 1. Richland 2. Azle Then everyone else.
  22. Richland just took the field and said "NOT SO FAST"!! If you want a spot to state, you have to go through us first. Strong opening and cool visuals with the vibrating strings. Metallica marching band needs to be a thing for sure. That was much better than the last time I saw you perform. Congratulations on making Area Finals. Respect. See you at State!!
  23. Where is all the chatter??? Did all the kids, fans, and parents who usually participate graduate??
  24. Chisholm Trail with a statement of their own!!! They came out swinging and ready for a fight. Too bad about the microphone issues. Way to just go with it, soloist. Great show!! Congratulations on making Area Finals. Respect!
