So, the big battle is Wakeland vs Lone Star for 1st? They both looked great last weekend. Does Wakeland going later in the schedule give them a bit of an edge in scoring? Reedy was very good too.. I thought Centennial and Emerson was impressive.

Looks like all 5a Area B bands got 1's in Regional today!

That would be Frisco Centennial, Liberty, Lebanon Trail, Independence, Wakeland, Frisco Memorial and Heritage! Well done!

I think The Colony will be in the Top 5 and Frisco Centennial will be in the top 10 (7-10th spot). I believe Centennial finished 2nd for 5a in Mesquite and 9th at Don Hanna. This whole group in 5a, Area B looks strong!

1. Colony 2. Mansfield 3. Little Elm 4. North Mesquite 5. James Martin 6. Panther Creek 7. Birdville 8. Fossil Ridge 9. Frisco Centennial 10. Lake View Centennial. I guess I could never be a judge or maybe I don't know what to watch for LOL. North Mesquite in my eyes was the best in the finals, just over Little Elm/Mansfield. The Colony and James Martin had visible mistakes that I didn't see the other 3 make. UNT was great too.. The bands really enjoyed watching them play!

It was a random draw (1-10). Some highlights for me. Shocked Rockwall Heath did not make it to the finals. Very, I mean very impressed with Frisco Centennial They should have been the 5A Winner in Prelims but The Colony had a huge crowd reaction which I hope didn't factor in the judging. Mansfield in my opinion was not better than James Martin. I really thought James Martin was best overall in the Prelims. Let's see what they do in the finals. So far in the first group of the final 5, it's real close with Panther Creek and Frisco Centennial. Centennial had one flag mishap, but their show was really good. Lakeview Centennial, BIrdville, and Fossil Ridge had multiple mistakes across all aspects. I would probably put Fossil Ridge 3rd. Next 5 should be exciting. Can't wait to see UNT Green Brigade too!
