I just heard the news about everything, I left after prelims and forgot about the competition, I’m looking at the scores, is it me or does it seem like judges were being a bit unfair, I’m so confused, I really did not expect this, why did Kaufman rate so low, their run looks amazing, and why did Poteet get 5th in prelims? They deserve top 3 same with Kaufman, do you have any idea what happened?

Wow, NM improved a crazy ton, they were clean, really really clean, it’s going to be close tonight, I am so excited!

I was so entertained by WM cereal killer I did not watch their marchers and only watch them role players, it was so entertaining I hope they make state so I can watch it again!

Wow! Naaman sounded great!! I loved their solos, especially their trumpet! Their alto sax sounded a bit honky towards the end, he sounded good but also sounded a bit timid. I love their theme, and love it when the drum majors started dancing! Go Naaman you have improved a lot!

Just saw Terrell, they sounded great, they have improved a lot. I would say that the only thing holding them back are visuals and marching. Yet, I really enjoyed their show, I am honestly surprised. I especially love it when the woodwinds rotated around the silver tree!

My top 5 final prediction 1st. Kaufman 2. North M 3. Poteet 4. Mt pleasant 5.West M my opinion stays relatively the same, I really do believe it’s between Kaufman and North Mesquite for 1st place, they both are clean with their marching and visual, I believe Kaufman has an edge with their music currently, but anything goes. I wish these bands the best

Right, and anything can happen who knows, for me I’m going off how clean everyone is, and I personally believe that NM and Kaufman are the cleanest from this area I am really excited to see these powerhouses go at it

I don’t see potent beating Kaufman anytime soon, they haven’t come close yet, I really see them competing for 3rd and I see Kaufman and NM battling for 1st

My prediction. 1. Kaufman 2. North M 3. Poteet 4.Mt Pleasant 5. West M 6.LC 7. Highland Park I just really don’t see Highland Park ranking high. Poteet has been consistent with their scoring, Kaufman and North Mesquite will battle for first, but I believe on how clean Kaufman is getting they will take 1st, they are quiet impressive in my opinion, coming from a 4A division to dominating in a 5A division

Any updated predictions? We’ve been a bit quiet in the predictions, and more on the debate side, I would love to see everyone’s predictions!

I heard Kaufman has been mass cleaning between this break they’ve had, I really think they’re going to be area champs this year, I am really am rooting for them

I agree with this, just because it is a different culture, doesn’t mean we necessarily can’t celebrate it, I think it is awesome to share love to other cultures, I personally love that Kaufman took this route!

Hmm I see your point but the show is really just based on the past, like how we have movies about Egypt, I don’t believe they’re necessarily trying to come out that way but more like a show from the past, you know? I personally really like that show

Right, I understand you hate Kaufman’s show but let’s not view it as them being yk, I mean the kids seem to really enjoy it and get to be Egyptian, I definitely am jealous about their show, let’s be a bit kinder to them, those kids are working harder than they did in 4a! But other than that, I really enjoy North mesquite show as well, and I completely agree about poteet not being clean, but I can see them making it to state, I have high hopes for them

I completely agree with you, top 3 are pretty accurate though, and bottom 2 are debatable. I really want to see how this competition is going play out

Just saw the points on the latest competition with Kaufman, they were 2.3 off from beating Frisco Memorial. Wow, and the beat Frisco independent, by a good solid amount too, I can see Kaufman getting 1st or 2nd in area
