Also, Rockwall Heath making 10th just broke my heart! I had so much hope for them this season!!!!! Not to mention FORNEY?? That 5-6A transition was diabolical and never seen before. What an amazing band with an AMAZING show, absolutely LOVED the clarinet solo at the end. kid killed it.

Super proud of all the hard working kids at this comp! I feel soooo bad for some really good bands like Garland and North Forney that had to preform earlier.. makes me wonder what the odds would've been if they were later! Nonetheless, the results don't lie. WOOHOO to Sachse! And also.. Mesquite being 16th right under north! I knew they improved but not this much! Area C never fails to surprise me!!!

I saw this AMAZING contest yesterday. Congratulations to ALL the winners.. however... I find the rankings between Poteet and West Mesquite a little weird. How did West go from 2nd to 6th and Poteet from 5th to 2nd in finals. I feel like theres no way for that dramatic of a jump, even if they did have a better 2nd run.. I also heard rumors about one of the judges being ex poteet staff? what do you guys think?

I also heard forney as well as north forney. both schools from the same district with really strong shows this year. However… I think North was actually louder! Loved Forney’s clarinet solo btw… RIP to the couple of clarinets squeaking at north.

woah! I saw mesquite earlier at 5 and they definitely surprised me. Im usually a fan of their shows, but I really think they’ve improved from last year! I think that if they really locked in they could for sure be above 20 this year

Also, have you guys seen Mequite's show? Even though they placed 29th(?) at Area last year, I think with the proper execution they could definitely move up. Cathedral sounds is an awesome concept and I think they just need a push in the right direction.

What do you guys think of North Forney? They're really improving this year compared to last! Yesterday they got 1st at the Royse city marching classic, and 2nd at US Bands! I think they could be strong contenders in Area C.. as well as Rowlett and ofc Garland + Sachse...
