something about those san antonio judges were really weird with how they were scoring A class. i have a feeling me wight see schools like jordan, dripping, and tomball memorial slip into finals at worlds when the judges in dayton see them

state schedules are out and here are my thoughts going into it SAA Red Round- Reagan B guard is currently the favorite to win this round but i could see deer park or even pearland A taking it over them. SAA Blue Round- I think this is edinburg’s time to shine with a win at state but i will keep my eye on pflugerville hs becuase they are quite good this year SA Red Round-it’s gonna be between john paul steven’s and james e taylor hs, it’s gonna be close between them. both are deserving of this chance to win SA Blue Round- it’s going to be smithson valley hs who’s gonna win here fs but excited to see who the other medalists will be. SNA Red Round-this round is gonna be so exciting to see who comes out on top with tomball, jordan, and tomball memorial all such good shows. my pick rn is currently tomball but i could also see jordan taking it SNA Blue Round- dripping springs is taking this one just from their score at area alone being so high imo 2nd and 3rd will be tight tho between twhs A, brandeis and veterans memorial. SJVA- hays jv, tomball jv or dripping springs jv is gonna win this one. i would have to say my pick is hays jv IA-rgv or seven lakes is gonna win this SO- my pick would be pearland but for some reason they aren’t coming to state so my next pick is westlake but i wouldn’t mind their being a bowie upset and they take it over westlake IO-undaunted obv SW- TWHS hopefully this sets them up for a win at worlds in dayton IW- invictus. be really cool to see them back in world class finals sorry for such a long post lmao just had some thoughts going into state

they take the top 50% scoring guards in each area and then add the next one out and then those groups so to state. ex-20 SNA groups in the west area, they take 11 to state from that area.

An early prediction for this regional just using past scores and stuff SRA Sonia Sotomayor HS JV, TX Iowa Colony HS, TX Westwood HS JV, TX SA Dripping Springs HS, TX The Woodlands HS A, TX Jordan HS TX, Tomball Memorial HS, TX Louis D.Brandies HS, TX IA Redemption Guard, TX Tarleton State University Purple Pride, TX SO Westlake HS, TX Pearland HS, TX James Bowie HS, TX IO Undaunted, TX Industry Independent, TX SW The Woodlands HS, TX Flower Mound HS, TX IW Invictus, TX -
some pretty interesting stuff that happened at pieper on saturday piper hs jv got a crazy high score of 76.22 but they hav been dominating the SJVRA class for a little bit now so i see them doing pretty well this season. dripping springs won nat a class with a over 5 point gap between them and 2nd. they also were beat by brandies last week but this week they were able to get way ahead of them. westlake hs was the winner of open with a pretty nice point gap between them and reagan. there were also a good bit of penalties all around the contest so idk what that could be about.

Dickinson and Barbers Hill have both moved up to National A according to TCGC's website
-
they are honestly my pick to medal or even win in A class at Wgi if they have the right show and they keep that trajectory from last year and if they don't get bumped up to open lol

the upcoming tcgc dripping springs contest will have a lot of big hitters that we should definitely look out for this upcoming season.on the more larger scale things we have new comers to the a class scene, specifically with Hutto hs moving up to national A after having an amazing season last year and I am excited to see what they come up with this year. we also have a wig worlds attendee competing, Dripping Springs hs also had a almost perfect season last year and should be on track to have another great one. We will also see Hays hs make their open class debut here and that should definitely shake up the austin area open class guards. On a smaller scale we have leander splitting JV and varsity and that program has been on the rise ever since they got that new director and i'm very excited to see what their teams can do. we also have cedar park jv, dripping springs jv, and hays jv all moving up into JV A and cedar ridge A going back to JV A. very very exciting things that will be happening that weekend and I will be spectating and trying to make a recap at the end of the contest for this forum.

dripping springs had major success in their winter season last year with them winning every contest they went to minus state where they got the bronze medal so I could see them potentially being up for a medal at wig worlds if not definitely a finalist spot if they keep their trajectory from last year. pearlands guard really stood out to me in the fall with them being very clean with how many members they had and I honestly see them in open class finals if they can push their vocab and design scores higher which i'm sure they can do i really want centerville in finals but i think your right, there skills might not meet the level that you need for world class but im hoping that we will see them in finals. they will have to beat out schools like center grove, flanagan, and stoneman douglas. for SW podium i can predict to see avon and twhs up there but El dorado will have to go head-to-head with arcadia for that last spot on the podium. i wasn't that impressed by carmels guard in the fall but it might be cause i didn't like their show that much but im hoping to see them place higher then they did last season.
