I did perfectly, though I didn't make it. I guess actually going and auditioning would help, but my lack of audition was amazing.

We played that last year in middle school. It was interesting. I really liked movement 2. I have no idea if I kept it, though. I'll check anyways.

Well everyone knows somebody in percussion who's been to a timpani audition and someone goes up, detunes, and walks off lol.

our color guard uniforms this year were gross. they were like weird abstract shapes with a background of like puke green and brown.

If anyone saw our prelims at Grand Nationals... baaaaaaaaaaaad. I dont think there was a set where we were all in place, except maybe like the last one (we were all using the wrong hashes lol). i was amazed that we made it into semis after that.

i went last year to the austin one. its held at the capitol building. i was going to go 2 years ago, but i got strep. im definately going again.

the first day we got our coordinates this year, and were marching the first couple of sets (with our tubas off, thank God) there was this one set where all of the tubas were in a line parallel to the S30 i think, and had 32 counts of 6 to 5 steps backwards marching. i, being the only tuba freshman slipped and i and everyone in front of me fell hard. i still have the scar on my lower back.

Our band director axes anything we enjoy.

The Music of Stravinsky would be awesome. Maybe open up with The Sacrifice from The Rite of Spring, and close with a selection from The Firebird. No idea what youd put in the middle, though.
