Totally agree, but I'm sure that any DCI organization is willing to part with your money regardless of your child's skills. My kid is being recruited by a DCI organization on her second instrument that she's barely played for a year. Maybe she's the next trumpet superstar, or maybe they need another $5,000. Choose wisely.

So because your favorite band couldn't compete in Area J, they should be moved to another area, like Area C? Makes sense for you, I guess.

I think you forgot one of the 11 in Region 3.

Correct. 22 out of the 24 6A bands in Area C were rated as Superior in their Region competitions. They all have advanced to Area C competition in Mesquite on 11/2. 10 will make finals and the top 4 from finals will advance to State competition.

All of the 6A bands in Region 3 got a 1. Superior rank seems to be normal for this region. Hard to believe that all 11 6A bands were superior. Apparently no one is Excellent or Average anymore. We'll sort it all out in the Area competition.
