The biggest winners of the day were Area D bands with the likes of China Spring, Robinson, Gatesville, Alvarado, Springtown and Castleberry all moving to the new area. 😁

China Spring took advantage of that last spot and left the judges with something to think about. Kudos to them for a great show and taking advantage of the draw. I'm surprised Krum was left out, but I'm even more dumbfounded by Alvarado being in 9th place after prelims and 8th place in finals. Sometimes, you run into a panel of judges who just don't like a show, and I imagine that's what happened. That's the only thing that makes sense.
