  1. I agree. Show designs targeted towards UIL rubrics and the limitations of practice vs non-Texas bands are two of the main reasons why we don't see Team Texas win Grand Nats as often. At least that's what I think.
  2. I reckon that's still more than what Texas averagely takes. Last year was the most #TeamTexas has sent. There's been times that TX has had 1, or even 0 reps at Grand Nats. Perhaps you meant to say they weren't sending as much top-heavy groups compared to other years. Either way, the groups that will be in attendance will do great.
  3. Think so too. It’ll be interesting to see how they’ll do vs Plymouth-Canton and Jenison.
  4. Only 2 bands that attended this year’s San Antonio super regional will be attending Grand Nationals. Cedar Park and Leander. However, there’s 4 other Texas bands that didn’t attend the SA Super that are attending Grand Nats, too: Argyle, Friendswood, Prosper, Bridgeland
  5. To me, it feels like Vandegrift has stuck to the same exact recipe the last 8 years or so. It’s worked and has won them State Championships, Super Regionals championships, and even Grand National champs - but it would be nice to see them branch out and experiment some vs their traditional repertoire.
  6. Will rearrange these post-Semis… 1. Avon 2. Tarpon Springs 3. Carmel 4. Broken Arrow 5. William Mason 6. Dobyns-Bennett 7. Cedar Park 8. Castle 9. Brownsburg 10. Leander 11. Homestead 12. Prosper
  7. They didn’t, but they’re saying that if they had qualified for finals and then penalized, that ultimately would’ve kicked them out of finals, that would’ve sucked.
